Nieuwe voorzieningen voor 2018 - We hebben een extra terras van 375 m² aan ons dock toegevoegd met een afgesloten bar met koelkast, extra zitplaatsen, een hangmat en een schommelbank. Bekijk onze foto's om de verbeteringen te zien. We staan nu voor je klaar om te genieten van het seizoen 2018. TWEE kajaks ook toegevoegd voor 2018,

Still Waters Getaway ligt in de Beachwood West-gemeenschap en is perfect geplaatst in een bosrijke omgeving van 2,5 hectare in een rustige, diepe waterbaai van Smith Mountain Lake tussen kanaalmarkering R30 en R32. De perfecte plek om te genieten van alle watersportactiviteiten op het meer, of een rustige duik direct langs de heuvel bij het dok. Een zacht glooiende wandeling leidt naar de waterkant met stationair dok met partydek. Je kunt vissen of van het bovenste deel van het dok springen en rondzwemmen zonder geïrriteerd te raken door boten of wakker worden. Een waterfiets en kano zijn ook beschikbaar om van te genieten. Grote speelkamer met pooltafel om de dag af te ronden, dit huis is uitgerust voor een leuke familievakantie. We zijn dicht bij Bridgewater Plaza, waar tal van winkels, restaurants en nachtelijk entertainment zijn. Er zijn verschillende plaatsen in de buurt om boten, waterscooters en buizen te huren. Maak je geweldige vakantieherinneringen. Vergeet niet dat je de hond kunt meenemen!

Het instapmodel beschikt over de keuken en woonkamer / eetkamer met een flatscreen-tv. Glazen schuifdeuren die leiden naar een terras met uitzicht op het meer, genieten van de schommelbank, een maaltijd op het dek, misschien iets speciaals van de grill, of gewoon zitten en genieten van de rustige omgeving. Ook op het instapniveau, een slaapkamer met een kingsize bed en een ligbad wachten op u.

Een trap omhoog brengt u naar de zolder die uitkijkt op de woonkamer op instapniveau. Op dit niveau vindt u de 2 extra slaapkamers met queen size bedden, een met toegang tot een eigen balkon met een fantastisch uitzicht. Ook op deze verdieping komt de tweede complete badkamer.

Op het lagere niveau vindt u de 4e slaapkamer, het stapelbed kamer en de derde volledige badkamer. De slaapkamer bevat een dubbele stapelbed plus een stapelbed. Anders dan dat het lagere niveau is allemaal leuk en games en beschikt over een pooltafel, een flatscreen-tv, een kinderhoek, puzzels, boeken en bordspellen. Er is een natte bar met magnetron en koffiezetapparaat en een extra koelkast. U vindt ook een grote wasmachine en droger voor uw gemak. Een slaapbank is ook te vinden in de speelkamer. Verlaat de speelkamer naar het overdekte terras en het lagere niveau.

Het zacht glooiende pad leidt naar de waterkant met stationair dok, feestdek en onze nieuw gebouwde bar. Aan de kade - zwemmen is geweldig, diep water in een afgelegen baai - geen wake zone! Je kunt vissen of van het bovenste deel van het dok springen en rondzwemmen zonder geïrriteerd te raken door boten of wakker worden. U kunt ook genieten van een waterfiets, kano en kajak. We zijn dicht bij Bridgewater Plaza, waar tal van winkels, restaurants en nachtelijk entertainment zijn. Er zijn verschillende plaatsen in de buurt om boten, waterscooters en buizen te huren.

We had a wonderful time during our four night stay! The kids loved jumping off the dock, swimming, and kayaking. There were lots of wildlife in the area which was pretty neat to see and hear. We got to take our dog with us and that made our family vacation complete. Thank you!

My dad's family is from Bedford. We brought our son, DIL, and grandson to visit the Bedford area. I spent so much time in VA as a child that we wanted them to see the area as a vacation spot. We loved the location and the range of activities at the house and in the surrounding area. We hope to come back when it is warmer to fish more.

Absolutely enjoyed the stay at the Stillwater Getaway. It feels like a home away from home. Scenery, it’s so hard to get the point across with how beautiful it is here. Yeah, so what about the driveway being a bit tricky. Totally worth it to have the house so close to the water and a wonderful spot for a fire pit in between the house and the water. Be sure to catch the Sun coming up in the cove. Be sure to hang out a little bit late and stay quiet outside and watch the wildlife enjoy it with you. We literally looked a Doe in the eyes at about 40 ft from us as the fire died off. Will come again if we can. Come here and experience this place. You won’t be disappointed!!

One star less as there are lot of scopes for improvement... 1. One of the major reasons why we booked due to the arcade game since we have kids in the family. However it ended up working. Host did tried to triage as much as they can but no luck. 2. The main floor TV need to be a smart TV. I am not sure what percentage of the population only rely on cable in current generation. We weren't able to use that at all and again kids were annoying. 3. We understand it's a fall season but we were expecting the outdoor to be cleaned to some extent. The patios were not really in usable condition. The stair down to lake didn't had any lights and too dark to climb during night. 4. Host did mentioned in the listing that we need to dispose our trash but the annoying part was it's around 9 miles from the property. Overall a good experience and enjoyed to the extent we can. No real complaints and host is really cooperative and tried his best to resolve every problem.

This place was perfect. I would highly recommend. The descriptions from the listing is exactly as described. The host was very easy to contact and quick to respond. We made lots of memories with family as this was my dad‘s 70th birthday. He even said this was such a big surprise, and loved every second of it.

This place is so great! My boyfriend and I both have 2 teenagers so it can be challenging finding a good spot to please us all. Our kids were never bored and stayed off their phones. Jumping off the double deck into the water, the arcade game, the fusball and the beautifully decorated house were spot on. It’s serene and the drive is pretty simple. We will be back

Upon arriving. The power was off. We waited hours. The commodes stopped working. Water also came in the basement due to the storm. At that point in the evening we had to leave. Very nice stay. Spacious (for 4), clean and great location. Wonderful dock (rented a pontoon boat), kayaks provided, and updated kitchen and bathroom. Could use new mattresses, but overall, sweet.

Just finished a great week at this property. Our group included my husband and me, our 26-year-old son, our 21-year-old son and his girlfriend, and our two dogs (first time bringing them to the lake). It was perfect for us. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped and had newer appliances. The large dining table was great for eating and evening games. The extra fridge downstairs was great for drinks. Though we didn’t use the pool table much or the arcade games at all, they are a nice addition in the basement. Beds were comfortable. As others have said, the driveway is no joke. But the parking loop makes it infinitely easier to maneuver. We had no problem with our Suburban, even with two other cars parked there. There are a lot of stairs down to the dock, but it’s not as steep as some properties we’ve stayed at. It does get a little slippery after rain, but there are railings all the way down. Dock was spacious. Extra floater was nice, although we didn’t have access to it much as the renters next door had stuff tied to it off and on all week. There is a ladder to get from the upper dock to the lower dock, so beware of that if anyone in your party has mobility issues. The dock has ample seating, a hammock, a swing, lights, and electricity. There’s also a fridge and a bar area. Everything you could need. Location is about 20 minutes driving from Food Lion, the trash/recycling place, and the marina. We would rent again!

The house is comfortable and clean, probably the cleanest vacation house I’ve ever seen. The dock is perfect with lots of room including space under roof with shade. The cove is quiet, perfect for swimming. We rented a pontoon boat and were able to dock it at the floating dock easily. There are a lot of stairs to the dock but they are wide & sturdy & lighted at night. The driveway is steep but the turn around at the bottom is helpful. We had no trouble in a Chevy Traverse. Kitchen is well stocked, appliances & grill are newer. We cooked all of our meals and had everything we needed. 3 fridges & washer and dryer were a nice convenience. It was HOT outside all week and the AC kept up nicely. The basement area was perfect for our 3 teenage boys. We spent a lot of time playing the arcade game and even set a new high score! The trash drop off was new for us but the place listed by the property manager was convenient. I do wish there was a secure place to keep trash outside until you are ready to take it away. We will be back for sure!

I booked this lake house for a family reunion and it was fantastic! Everyone loved the property, especially relaxing on the dock by the lake. My favorite relaxation time was before everyone woke up with a cup of coffee on the sun deck. We spent plenty of time by the water but also enjoyed the other amenities, particularly the game room and the deck with the grill. Owner was quick to respond to any inquiry. I would definitely book another stay at this property in the future!

Had a wonderful time fishing off the dock with our grandchildren. When we arrived the grill was inoperable and the owner was great in allowing us to pick up a replacement and reimbursing us in a timely fashion. The driveway is steep but doable and even easier if you use the circle as posted. I wouldn’t try a trailer there though. Kids enjoyed jumping off the upper deck and we all loved the use of the boathouse and kayaks. If I had one complaint it would be the beds. We prefer firm support and the beds all have spring mattresses that are either worn out or just poor quality. I was happy to get home to better nights sleep. All in all it’s very spacious to give everyone their own space. Love the 3 levels and 3 fridges counting the boathouse! Thanks for memories I wouldn’t trade for anything!

My son likes to get away with 3 of his school friends each year for his birthday. They are 15 now. This place was PERFECR! They all slept on the lower level and had their own space. Master bedroom on 1st floor was great for me to keep an eye on them amd hear what they were doing :). The lower level had a pool table and arcade game that played over 100.classic 80s and 90s arcade games. Grill might need replacing soon but worked fine for us. House was stocked with linens and towels. House is recently renovated. New appliances. AC/Heat worked great and we had to use both. Kitchen os well stocked. Make sure you bring food to cook or you are driving 20 minutes to go eat. We cooked breakfast and lunch and ate dinner out. They boys fished a lot and gpt a kick out of jumping off the double decker dock. Water is deep below the dock. More than 10 feet. Plenty of personal boats and life preservers for 4 of them. Wish the outlets there didnt work (one of the boys bought a powered speaker that was super loud and i am sure annoyed the neighbors before i got him to turn it down). But great for charging phones. There is a bar on the dock for adults. Firepit. Easy to scrounge up kindling. I only slept in thr master king size bed. It was comfortable. Boys managed to figure out sleeping 4 in the lower level which also had a full kitchen and bath. The driveway freaks you out the first time but a Honda Odyssey had no problems navigating. Super clean. 5 stars

We have stayed here several times on spring break to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Is the perfect dock for hanging out with friends and family, and the teens love the pool table and their own space downstairs, the adults love the big table upstairs to play cards. Owners have updated the main bathroom and the basement since we stayed there last, which is really nice.

Just what we needed to get away and enjoy the peaceful lake vibe. The weather was perfect, cool on the morning and warmed up by lunch. The double decker dock was amazing. Lots of steps to the dock but not an issue for our young family. The driveway was difficult but after reading other reviews I was prepared. Honda Pilot was able to maneuver without difficulty. Lots of games to play and great TV to watch movies at night. Fully functional kitchen to cook all meals. We would most definitely make a return visit.

The place was perfect once you past the steep driveway. It was a little difficult for us in a Ford Transit-350. The kids enjoyed the playroom. It was very.l nice home for us and the 6 kids to be together and also apart if they wanted space. Would recommend this place.

Nice place to stay on the lake. Fit our needs perfectly. Party deck was great place to hang out and chat! Lots of outdoor area to relax from the swings to the fire pit to the party deck. A leaf blower would have been a good amenity as we visited in the fall and the driveway and patio area were covered with leaves. Other than that, great place to stay in the lake!

A perfect house for a warm fall weekend. The views were colorful. We especially enjoyed the spacious deck, table and grill. The boat dock and deck provided a hammock and kayaks and water toys. We rented a boat and we’re able to pull in and out with ease. The kitchen was well equipped utensil and plate wise with basic bowls and cooking pans. 3 couples and a solo single had plenty of space. This is a beautiful home and the owner has made it guest ready!! We certainly plan to come back again!!!
