Onlangs gerenoveerde Lakefront House met 5 slaapkamers aan Smith Mountain Lake

Of u nu op zoek bent naar een plek om te ontspannen en te relaxen, of voor outdoor-avonturen, Unwind en Reel 'Em Inn zijn de plek voor u. Deze prachtige, onlangs gerenoveerde woning aan het meer heeft vijf slaapkamers en drie volledige badkamers, een grote familiekamer met een stenen open haard, kathedraalplafonds en grote ramen voor het bekijken van Smith Mountain Lake. U vindt er ook een grote keuken met een grote koelkast / vriezer, fornuis / oven, magnetron en andere voorzieningen om u zich meteen thuis te laten voelen. Het huis heeft ook een grote recreatieruimte, compleet met een pooltafel, bordspellen en een PS4 voor uw entertainment. Het huis heeft een groot dek dat de hele achterkant van het huis overspant en biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op Smith Mountain Lake. Een gas grill en houtskoolgrill zijn ook voorzien voor uw plezier. Een verlichte loopbrug biedt gemakkelijke toegang tot de eigen aanlegsteiger. Geniet van zwemmen, watersporten of vissen in het prachtige water van Smith Mountain Lake. Voor meer informatie, zie onze website. Het huis is gelegen in een rustige wijk die perfect is om te fietsen en wandelen.

Het huis is volledig uitgerust met alles wat u nodig heeft, inclusief beddengoed, handdoeken en wat papieren producten, om te genieten van een ontspannen, vredige en onvergetelijke vakantie. Er is zoveel te doen tijdens uw verblijf in Unwind en Reel 'Em Inn, u kunt ontspannen op het grote dek, genieten van het meer vanaf onze eigen aanlegsteiger, zwemmen of spelen in het meer, een dutje doen in de hangmat voor twee personen, een vriendelijk spel spelen met zwembad, of geniet van s'mores en een gesprek rond de vuurplaats.

Er zijn tal van lokale bezienswaardigheden om u te vermaken als u op pad gaat voor de dag. Het huis is gunstig gelegen in de buurt van een winkel en een supermarkt voor uw huishouden, evenals verschillende goede restaurants. Wij zijn gelegen op slechts 15 minuten van Bridgewater Plaza, waar u vele unieke eetgelegenheden zult vinden, evenals minigolf, waterscooters en een jachthaven. Of bezoek een van onze lokale wijngaarden of brouwerijen. Breng de dag door met wandelen langs de schilderachtige Blue Ridge Parkway.

Excellent Vacation!

Our family enjoyed this home. It was great for our family of all ages. The house is very large and accommodating. We appreciated the games, puzzles, etc. The steps from the house to the dock were tough for the older guests, but the kids didn't mind multiple trips per day. The dock was very nice.

We had to cancel our stay due to a family medical emergency. The owner was responsive and helpful in providing necessary documentation for our travel insurance claim, which we very much appreciated. We are hoping to book this property again for a future stay.

High School Senior Trip to SML

The property was great. I took a small group of high school seniors here for a fishing trip. The location was perfect. The house was very nice and everyone enjoyed it.

Cozy, family-friendly home

We enjoyed the house and the location on Smith Mountain Lake. The house was well-appointed and furniture was comfortable, but worn and showing signs of a few years of use. We loved the big kitchen and the big living room. The steps to the dock are not for the faint-of-heart, but having access to the dock was wonderful! Some of the outdoor furniture was not usable. Specifically the folding chairs on the deck box were rusted closed, and there no outdoor umbrellas for sunny afternoons. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. We could hear many birds and saw several deer in the backyard. Never heard the neighbors!Overall, we were happy with the house, the location, and Smith Mountain Lake.

Beautiful location but not well maintained.

The Lake house had incredible views with amenities as advertised (pool table, fire pit, dock on the lake with great view,etc.)However, the property is not well-maintained but you get a long list of chores required before checking out or you are threatened with fees.Maintenance issues:The cleaning staff didn’t clean well, leaving us with dirty countertops, dining table, dishes & floors. As other guests mentioned there were no dishwasher pods but the owner offered to reimburse us for the pods if we went to the store which is 30 mins round trip.So we cleaned the above ourselves. We also had to search for bath towels & place bed sheets on all the beds. The leather couch was severely worn & ripped. Both twin white chairs need deep cleaning. One of the screen doors was broken. Some beds had very thin comforters. We asked Host for extra blankets or throws but had none. List of chores before checkout:Make sure all dishes are washed and put away.Wash at least two loads of laundry. 1st load of towels and 2nd of bed sheets. 1st load must be totally dry. Remove all trash bags and take (off property) to a Waste Disposal Center. Closest dump center added 40 mins to our route home. A 25 Per Bag fee if you leave any behind. Next time, we will carefully review in advance if host’s expectations are reasonable before we book another VRBO. There’s no pleasure spending our vacation cleaning someone’s else unkept property or having to take 5 days worth of trash in our car.

Great Place for late Fall weekend trip

The property overall is great. the location is plus. It is little tricky to find the entry at night. some of our party feedback 1. the beds are too soft other than the beds in master bedroom. 2. there is no dishwasher detergent. After communicating with Laura, we were told someone will drop some, but we did not see any during our stay. We ended up hand-wash all dishes during our 3-night stay, which is not ideal. when we left, we basically have to hand wash them and load them into the dishwasher without any detergent.

Very comfortable home for a big group. Well equipped with all of the amenities. Beautiful views of the lake. The deer visited frequently including a buck and a fawn. We had a wonderful stay.

A relaxing but fun weekend.

I went here for my birthday with all my friends. There was the perfect amount of space for us all to play games together throughout the house. The views were incredible. Definitely a great place for a getaway weekend with those you love.

We rented the house to spend a weekend riding horses and hanging out with friend and family. One house had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the fire pit. The location is convenient to restaurants and grocery store. Maybe we will be back in the summer to enjoy the dock area.

Wonderful Family vacation!

This beautiful home is spacious with a kitchen I could easily cook for my large family in. There was plenty of sleeping areas to give us all privacy and the beds were comfortable. The property owner was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The view is incredible and the location avoids the heavy boat traffic SML can sometimes have. Lots of options for my morning runs which had beautiful views and wildlife sightings. As others noted, the steep driveway is a challenge for smaller vehicles, but my husband actually loved it in his Jeep Gladiator- LOL! I parked my van at the top and had no problem at all loading, unloading etc. it was not a problem for us but could be for older or disabled folks.

Peaceful stay by the lake

Overall the property was perfect for our needs. The upstairs was perfect for the adults to sit and enjoy each other’s company and the kids/teens played PlayStation and pool downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. We have stayed at several VRBOs and this one had the most comfortable beds by far. The view from the deck was second to none. The fire pit was perfect for our group. Yes it was a bit of a walk to the lake but the stairs were well maintained and were easily used. Laura did a great job with her descriptions so we were fairly well prepared for what to expect with the property.

Nice house but property isn’t friendly to those that have physical limitations.

We went for my friend’s 40th birthday so there were a few kids & several adults. The house was really nice. It’s open floor plan upstairs, big kitchen & view of the lake were superb. However, I think it needs to be made very clear in the listing that this is not a handicap friendly home. It should be go on to state, in depth, how steep the driveway is AND how steep the walk is from the home to the dock/water. Only high vehicles (SUVs & trucks) can get down the driveway; sedans will bottom out. So if you have a sedan, you’d have to park at the top of the driveway & carry everything down the very steep driveway into the home. For your sake, I hope it’s not raining. The stairs from the home to the lake are nicely done but very steep. My friend that torn her ACL years ago couldn’t get down to the water. For those of us that could go, it was pretty much a one & done trip; we didn’t make any trips back up if we forgot something. Even the kids complained about the walk back up to the house. We also didn’t use the fire pit at all because it’s at the top of the driveway. We wanted to but we would’ve to walk up the unlit, steep & uneven driveway in the dark and we just didn’t feel it was safe to do in the dark. So, we really enjoyed the house but the intensity of property needs to be made clear. This home would not be a fit for those that are older or not physically fit. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I want those renting the home in the future to understand the property.

Practically Perfect in Everyway!

A group of extended family stayed here to gather and celebrate a graduation from Roanoke College (about 45 minutes away). The house was great - clean, comfortable, spacious and a beautiful setting right on Smith Mountain Lake. We had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. There are perfect gathering spaces to eat, play and just visit and also plenty of room to get away for some alone time! The only thing we didn't like was the driveway - I highly recommend parking at the top and walking down to the house! We had a wonderful weekend and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to others.
