Cliffside treehouse, upper floor bedroom, lake view | Lodging #17

The cliffhouse has 1 living area of approximately 12’ x 14’ sq. feet. with a double bed on the upper level with amazing views. The land surrounding this treehouse is close to the edge of the cliff and because of this proximity, families with small children may prefer to choose a different treehouse. If you are looking to rent 2 treehouses, this one and Cliff house 18 are relatively close together.

ACTIVITIES ON-SITE
– Summer: 36 km of trails winding through forest and lakes, rent a canoe, swimming, fishing
– Winter: 36 km of snow covered trails, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
You can arrive from 14h30 to 17h (14h30 to 19h Fridays). You can arrive in the morning before your check-in, or stay after your check-out until the end of the day, and enjoy the park. You can leave from 9h to 11h. No check-in/check-out december 25th and january 1st.

LATE CHECK-INS
There will be no-one to check you in…no problem, just call and we will check-you in by phone and arrange to leave you what you need. There are also late check-in instructions posted outside the reception building.

PACK LIGHT
You must be prepared for your stay. Please consult the “what to bring” and “treehouses include” lists below. PACK LIGHT the treehouses are well equipped so you don’t have to bring much. YOU WILL TRANSPORT YOUR OWN BAGGAGE ON A HIKING TRAIL, A DISTANCE OF 200-1000 METERS (12-20 minutes). Each treehouse has access to 2 large carts in summer OR 2 large toboggans in winter. Backpacks make transport easier. Wear appropriate footwear. Canoes are available for rent, and can be used for transport of baggage (Lakeside East only), 8 minutes paddling.

BOATING
We have 24 canoes for rent (there is 1 canoe available for rent for each treehouse, you may rent a 2nd canoe if available at time of check-in. Lifejackets and paddles are included with all boat rentals. We also have 1 rowboat for day rental, call us. Fishing: you are required to fish from a boat (canoe or rowboat). The Park has row boats, reserve on their website. The Park does not allow fishing from the shore or docks as these are shared spaces. You must bring your provincial fishing permit and equipment. You may bring your own kayak, canoe, paddleboard. Electric motors are permitted.

REGIONAL PARK FEES
Park fees will be charged separately by the not-for-profit regional Park. At time of writing (Jan 2026); Adult 18yrs+ 10$/night – senior 60ans+ 7$/night – Kids free. Parc fees should be paid in advance on their website.

INCLUDED
- 1 to 2 double beds and 2 to 4 singles (mattresses only, you must bring your own sleeping bag and pillow).
- Wood burning stove (1 bag of ecologs per night for heating is included mid-October to end of April only. Carbon offset wood is for sale on site. You can also bring ecologs). If you do not know how to use a slow-burning wood stove please view this video http://youtu.be/hxKOy94H-5Y
- Kitchenette with sink
- All necessary equipment for cooking (pots, pans, colander, utensils, percolating coffee maker) and serving meals (plates, utensils, glasses, cups, etc.)
- 2 burner propane stove for cooking (propane for sale at reception)
- Table with 4-6 chairs
- Propane BBQ (except in winter) (propane for sale at reception)
- It is not necessary to buy or bring water. Drinking water and 10L containers available at the reception-pavilion.
- 60L cooler
- For baggage transport, 2 large carts in summer OR 2 large toboggans in winter. In summer, you can also choose to transport your bags by renting a canoe.
-1-2 ceiling lights and 1-2 fans (when connected to a powerpack battery, available for rent at reception)
-Outside: open campfire pit with benches, picnic table, grey water disposal., dry toilets(outhouses) with toilet paper and disinfectant, free showers and standard bathrooms are at the reception pavilion open 24h.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS
As part of our commitment to SUSTAINABILITY, we charge for consumables as well as optional items to encourage responsible consumption. If you don’t buy them from us you will need to bring them FROM HOME. We include dozens of items for free, but there are 8 we will CHARGE EXTRA for if you need to get them from us; power pack, 1L propane, treehouse kit (see below), canoe, snowshoes, sleeping bag/pillow, and firewood in summertime (you may bring firewood from home but it must be commercially packaged, see below). Credit and debit only (no cash).

TREEHOUSE KIT FOR SALE AT RECEPTION
For a fee at reception. We assemble some helpful items in our treehouse kit. All items except battery power pack can also be brought from home

Refundable Damage and cleaning deposit of $190 will be required at check-in by credit card only, or on-line check-in before arriving.
All the treehouses are non-smoking.
There is no running water and no garbage service at the treehouses (only at the reception building).
Please pack out everything you pack in.
To help you prepare your stay, a detailed list of what is provided will be emailed with your reservation confirmation.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU RESERVE
We recommend reserving in advance as spaces fill up. After your reservation, you will receive 2 emails :
- right after you reserve - a reservation email with important info such as how to prepare for your stay, driving directions, check-in info.
- 2 days before you arrive - a pre-registration email, which helps you sign the risk acknowledgement form, pay the security deposit, pay the park access fee and complete a short form. This helps us check you in smoothly.
