Thank you very much for staying with us. Monterey Bay Lodge is a quintessential lodge with its own charm and uniqueness. Our price is very reasonable, and our repeat guests keep coming back for its cozy, inviting, and relaxing atmosphere. We have emailed you regarding our pool and jacuzzi renovation. Reopening date is 06/01/24. We are truly sorry that our hotel did not meet your expectations. We hope that you will find a place that is most suitable for you in the near future.

As for the pool closure, on 04/27/24, when you made the same-day reservation, we sent you an email regarding the unavailability of the pool and the hot tub. We also understand that you may not have read the email and what we suggest for future reference is to, before making your reservation, call the hotel directly with all of your requests and inquiries. This way, there will be no mistakes or delays in our responses and you may avoid misunderstanding. Thank you for your rating. As we are going through renovation, there are times when we are unable to meet your expectations despite the fact that we strive to exceed out guests' expectations daily. We are truly sorry that your stay was not up to par, and that there was no hot water on the date of check-out. We have compensated more than half of your room rate, and if that was not sufficient, we do apologize since we believed that no one stays at any hotels or motels in the Monterey county for 50 no matter what the circumstance may be. Full refund may have been more appropriate for you, however, because the issue of no hot water was resolved after a while, the compensation was mainly for the inconvenience we have caused you. We could have also arranged a late check-out, but again, this is up to your schedule as well, so we thought room rate adjustment was the most appropriate. Once again, thank you for staying with us.

First on behalf of the Monterey Bay Lodge, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience that you went through and having to be relocated to another location. Our management and staff are always willing and able to do what we can for our guest however at times, we do run into certain situations that cause problems for our guest. Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that our parking space is rather compromised. As for dining and bar, we would have liked for you to reach out to us for suggestions. We are located on a perfect location when it comes to getting access to the nearest dining areas. Downtown where they have many restaurants and bars are less than 5 minute drive, Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf is also within short driving distance and even a walking distance. We continuously strive to improve our customer service to meet our guests' expectations. For future references, be they parking or dining options, please reach out to the front desk for any suggestions or alternatives.
