The home is just how it looks online. The decor is very tasteful, beds are comfortable and it’s in a quiet area. The kitchen has beautiful tableware and gorgeous tile.I took one star off because we didn’t realize one of the bedrooms access is from the backyard and it doesn’t have a shower, so that person has to come in and use the shower in the main house. We were a party of 5, yet the living room only comfortably fits 3-4 people on the couch all sitting in a row. A couple side chairs would be a nice addition. Instead we sat at the dining table all night and would have rather sunk into cushy chairs.One last peeve I have is when you are asked to strip the beds. For the price of the cleaning fee, please let me just walk out the front door. Also I think a 10:00 check out is pretty early - for all I know we may have been granted a late check out, but we didn’t try.

Great stay for 8 adults. 3.5 bathrooms are a plus. Plenty of linen/towels. Well stocked essentials in kitchen for cooking. Remodeled with comfort in mind. Would stay there again.

My family of 7 stayed here this past week for a wedding, and we all thought the place was beautiful, clean and in a great location. There was plenty of kitchen supplies and stocked bathrooms. We would 100% recommend anyone to stay here.

Great stay at this Monterey home. We had 4 in the house and it worked out perfectly. We were all comfortable. Back patio was a perfect hang out spot — watching football on the outside TV, playing corn hole and just enjoying the comfortable nights. House has all the amenities you need and at a great price. Would recommend and stay again.

The house was very nicely remodeled inside and outside. The beds and linens were comfy. It was clean and very well maintained. It was close enough to get to Cannery Row, Carmel, and down to Big Sur to hike for us.

False charges

It was an ok stay in an ok house in an ok neighborhood, next to an extremely active and loud airport. Sitting outside and having a conversation was next to impossible. Checked out and drove home only to receive a message from the host alleging we damaged/stained some sheets and a duvet cover. I spoke with the couple who stayed in that room and they stated they did not bring new jeans that would leave a denim stain on a bed, they also said they sleep with no clothes on so there was no way the denim stain was from them. We were charged for the stained duvet cover that we did not damage. Heads up, take lots of pictures and photograph everything when you stay at VRBO’s as the host can just claim you damaged stuff and you have no recourse.

Lovely property. Very central to be able to get to local attractions. Only disappointment was advise that it is the visitors responsibility to provide their own gas for outside dining, which we didn’t feel we should have to do and the inconvenience of going to the garage to exchange gas bottles. There was only enough gas for one BBQ and unable to use the outside gas heater provided which would have been nice. Everything else was excellent.

The house was amazingly well kept and very comfortable. We had children stay under 5, and it was safe and posed no issues. Very close to Del Monte Beach and also close to a grocery store, which made it super convenient. The neighborhood was quiet.

Beautiful Monterey Bay Retreat

Beautiful rental! Great location, nice neighborhood. Instructions spot on, from check in to check out. My family would stay here again. PS. Younger children visiting? Just bring some board or card games for evening entertainment. Great TV options though!

Beautiful, clean home!

My family stayed here on our California coast trip (kids ages 11, 15 and 17), and we could not have loved the house any more. It is exceptionally clean and a PERFECT layout in a great area. Close to the aquarium and also to Carmel for a fabulous dinner. The check in and our process was seamless. We also went to a gluten free ice cream place and gluten free bakery within 15 minutes! tHighly recommend!

Niece’s GF bakery is super close and AMAZING for my Celiac kiddo!
