Prima verblijf voor een of twee nachtjes, zeker voor de prijs. Het is zoals de meeste motels zijn, eenvoudig en een beetje gedateerd. Personeel heel erg vriendelijk en kamer was schoon.

The manager and his staff were so friendly! The accommodation needs some TLC and a water cooker for tea/coffee. Don’t expect housekeeping and ask for new towels. It’s a safe place and nearby everything in the Monterey/Carmel area.

Still a good value for the area, does have its drawbacks. Limited parking and somewhat dated, but not run down. They do take good care of the property and the extra for a fireplace room is worth it to me. Accomidating staff, good location.

This hotel is nothing fancy, but was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was very responsive, kind, and helpful. We had an issue with our tv and they fixed it immediately. The location is convenient and safe. Bed was very comfortable. The building is a little old and outdated, but was good for the price and we would stay here again.

It was a nice place to stay overnight. Everything was clean and operational in the room. My only concern was the parking because I went out and when I came back there was one spot left. Luckily, a cone was there, so I was able to have a spot.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, overall a good experience. Room was clean though older feel to the place...but fine for my single night. Close and safe enough to walk to fishermans wharf so got to enjoy the nearby area without having to drive.

The AC/heater has no thermostat, it never stops, horrible noise, always too hot or too cold. Staff lied saying the "facility has a thermostat outside the room", which is total BS, there is no thermostat, it's just a cranky old AC/heater with knobs.

It’s pretty and clean, you can even see the ocean behind the trees from the top floor. It’s across the road from a park, so the view from the windows is nice, you see pine trees. It has a decent sized fridge, which is a big plus, it’s well located within an easy drive to anywhere in Monterey, has a larger bathroom, (though, the water pressure in the shower is low-ish), and even a lit make-up area with a mirror in the bedroom, a very nice touch. The beds are comfortable. If you don’t mind the road noise you’ll be fine. Everything else is ok, but if you are a light sleeper, keep in mind that the door does not fit right (at least in the room where we stayed, maybe some other rooms are better), you can see light around the edges when the door is closed. We inserted paper towels around the door into the slits to try to seal it at night, but that was not much help. They did put in windows that close tightly, they should do the same with the doors. Also, they are very inflexible in terms of any refunds - you can cancel with 48 hours prior to arrival, but try to cancel 46 hours prior to arrival and no can do. And, you have to ask to have your room cleaned, they won’t do it otherwise. You can put a "do not disturb" sign on your room to not have it cleaned, but if you don't put that sign, they still won't clean it, unless you go to the front desk and ask for it. They should have a "please clean the room" sign one could put outside the door, to make requesting the cleaning easier.

Not a brand new or upscale property but the bed was still quite comfortable and the location was very convenient for us. We walked to the wharf for a whale watching tour and it took about 25 min to walk but on the way we stopped at a great cafe (Alta Bakery & Cafe) and got delicious coffee and pastries, which was a perfect start to the day! Also nice big eucalyptus trees next to the property which had tons of little birds in the morning, which we loved because we are birders.

The cleaning required a lot more attention to detail then it was given. There were hairs and evidence of the previous stays throughout. It was very dirty and run down room with a bad odor.
