'This hotel exceeded my expectations, we were tired from a long drive in and booked this hotel for the night. We arrived a few hours prior to check in time and the gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to allow us to check in early. Overall the staff and room were to my liking, the area appeared questionable however, we had no problems at all. It was quiet and everyone was friendly.'

He completely transformed this run down property into some place you can actually look forward to staying at whenever visiting or just needing to get away. 'Great location in the heart of Lafayette. Staff is great and very helpful. We had the empire room and it was a nice spacious and clean room. Same for the bathroom. Lovely light homemade breakfast in the morning. '

'It was nice and great for us who had a housing emergency and needed a few day stay. The only down side was the beds are harder than we like and after the 3rd day it was hurting our backs. The train was loud if you had a window facing the front but not that big of a deal breaker'

'The hotel is worn down, extremely dirty rooms (we found pubes on our bathroom wall, mold, months worth of dust, if you want I can show you pictures). The staff, apart from the maintenance guy, we're unfriendly and not willing to help. When we asked for an extra blanket we were told they don't provide these. We stayed for four days and we didn't get clean towels nor were the beds made. I did pay for all this. Never again!!! There's more options in the area, choose those!!'
