'We loved, loved, loved Kaivalayam! The room, the staff, the views, the vibe, the yoga, the treatments. It's a wonderful place to just retreat from the busy wonderful chaos that is India. We were really able to relax here the last couple of days of our trip. The in-house Ayurvedic doctor and team do a great job in providing wonderful treatments and also the kitchen staff cooks up the most delicious and nourishing dishes! Highly recommended for when in Munnar.'

'great place for 2 or 3 nights, the wifi was excellent, only setback is that you can hear the people in the tent next door.The trail to the hotel is very rough and not an easy ride.The employees at the resort are very helpful and my favorites were Dilip and Manoj. Dilip will take great photos early morning in the trail.Manas will help you 24 hours if you need it. hiker shoes are very important.'

'Charming, eco-friendly, very quiet place. Excellent food, attentive service. This is an ideal place to unwind, enjoy nature, meditate and be at peace. Cottages require a bit of a rugged, steep walk as they are hewn into the cliff - but then you are rewarded with great view over the Ghat mountains'

'Excellent location (secluded and beautiful views). Big rooms and nice balcony. Very friendly staff. Pool was a nice plus. Breakfast was really good but evening a la cart was barely ok unfortunately. All in all, if you have lunch somewhere else (in your day excursions) the very uninspiring dinner is worth it given that all else is great with this place. '

'Wonderful tranquil locatio, we walked in the jungle grounds and watched the wildlife. They were obviously watching us to... Monkeys stole my wife's shoes! Staff were excellent and the food was very good.'

'A fabulous mountain retreat set between forests and tea gardens. Beautifully maintained lawns with great vistas. Loved our stay. However due to road washouts from 2018 floods, almost impossible to get to. A miracle we found our way. But well worth the journey!'
