' We loved our stay at the Big Intervale Fishing lodge. Everything was fabulous, the environment, the hospitality of Hermann and Ruth, the riverpool, our lodges and the excellent food (breakfast and dinner). We were sad we had to leave after two nights. 'We originally booked the cottage to do some hiking, however trails in NS were closed due to risk of wildfires, understandable. We still had an awesome time, drove the Cabot trail, went to the beach, explored the area. We will be back and will definitely stay here again. The cottage was perfect. The kitchen had all necessary tools, everything was clean, the space was cozy. '

'This is a unique stay on the world famous Cabot Trail. It is a one room cabin, like a treehouse over looking St Anns Bay. The washroom facilities are a short walk down hill the facilities. It is not for everybody. It definitely worked for us! We spent 5 nights of relaxing after the beautiful drives we took on the Cabot Trail. The bed was great and having a coffee on the front deck was a great way to start the day. Thank you to the hosts! Cheers @EddieMac75 '

'The location was beautiful and well cared for. It is a true family run business with the feeling of the passion and love of the owners in all aspects. My brother and I enjoyed our stay and met the owners *who gave me a ride back up the hill when I forgot my keys! I would recommend to anyone looking for a Cabot Trail basecamp! '

'Enjoyed relaxing in this cabin and appreciated having washer/dryer in the cabin. It’s a bit of a drive to Cabot trail, but enjoyed coming back to the peacefulness of this location and lazy mornings. '

'Cozy cabin in the woods, our dog didn’t want to leave. The bed was a double but we slept better in it than we did with some queen beds. The cabin can get warm for summer but we were able to create a good cross breeze by opening both windows and using the fan provided. It is a beautiful glamping experience. The compost toilet was the biggest adjustment for us. The ferry nearby can be a little noisy if sitting outside but hardly ever noticed it in the cabin. Unfortunately the trails and sauna were...

'This place is truly amazing! We were greeted by one of the owners who went over the specifics. He pointed out an eagle sitting in a nearby tree just waiting for her dinner to swim by in the river bordering the yurt. So comfy, quiet and secluded. I would definitely stay here again.'
