'The hotel is very well located in Cairo and has a beautiful view of the Nile. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The breakfast is varied and they also had typical Egyptian specialties. The 3 restaurants are super tasty and we recommend the Grill enough! The room service was also on point. The only downside were the noisy events on Friday and Saturday until late at night. We definitely recommend this hotel!'

'Ik had een uitstekend verblijf bij Sofitel Nile El Gezirah. Vooral de service en vriendelijkheid van het personeel viel op. Zo kreeg ik een gratis kamer upgrade bij check-in en was op verzoek ook het laat uitchecken om 4 uur mogelijk zonder extra kosten. Het hotel heeft enkele uitstekende restaurants en een prachtig zwembad met panorama uitzicht over de Nijl. Ontbijt buiten met uitzicht over de rivier was ook perfect.'

'I was a bit apprehensive staying in this hotel because of the street noise.The hotel offered me one of their rooms with less street noise. With the earplugs and the fan the noise practically fades away.The showers are really good.The beds are comfortable. All the staff are really nice and they arranged a guide for my trip to the pyramids, and also a taxi to the airport.They provided me with a hairdryer. kettle and you can get coffee for 95EGP near there. There is a lovely Italian restaurant...

American University and downtown (Nile and many sightseeing attractions) nearby. Breakfast is made-to-order, not an impersonal "continental" layout. Lots of shopping, nightlife, and Metro within walking distance. The only caveat I would offer is that the tile of the floor of the shower is very slippery. I pointed this out...

"Shuttle service was niet geregeld, ondanks contact vooraf. Mensen op locatie wel zeer vriendelijk. Hotel is prima, zeer basic, maar netjes. Bedden redelijk. Wel ontzettend veel lawaai van verkeer tot 2 uur ‘s nachts en weer vanaf 5 uur ‘s nachts. Verder wel mooi centraal gelegen."
