'This motel definite needs work, lock of first room did not work. By accident I tried to move the lever up and without card I could open the door. Second room the airco was smelling bad and switching it off made the room very warm. The bed was not too bad but the blanket was damaged bij sigaret burns and the sheets very very thin. All smelled dusty/old.'

Als je in Groton moet zijn geeft de hotel waar voor zijn geld hoewel ik wel hotels in de VS in deze prijsklasse ben tegengekomen waar de prijs prestatie verhouding beter was'

'Our stay at Eileen of Mystic was one of the highlights of our New England road trip. Not only was it clean and comfortable, but it was absolutely beautiful and the effort and care the owners Erin and Josh put into the every detail was evident. 'Heel gezellig hotel met een warm en persoonlijk onthaal. Je voelt je meteen welkom bij de familie die dit hotel runt. Het ligt ook op wandelafstand van bezienswaardigheden en restaurants, al ligt het wel aan een relatief drukke weg en loopt achter het domein een spoorweg (waar niet zo veel treinen langs komen trouwens). 'It’s a beautiful inn and location! Our room on the third floor had windows on three sides - views of the river and marina as well as views of Long Island sound. The staff was friendly and helpful! They had some cheese and crackers available in the afternoon, fresh cookies at 7pm (perfect little snack after returning from dinner), not to mention a nice breakfast. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away and enjoy some r&r.'

'The House of 1833 is a beautiful old home with an amazing collection of antiques. It is surrounded by old English style gardens. In late September we were a bit too early for fall colors. The owner is delightful and helpful and the food was wonderful! '
