'Great atmosphere, very clean and the staff is welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!'

'The room was smelling very badly. As if it was sprayed with some insecticides or poison. I contacted the receptionist and requested a different room. He demanded an extra 20 dollar because the room on the higher floor had a better view. It was the opposite of the reviews we had read. We are disappointed in this property. It is also far from many New York’s iconic tourist sites. That is our bad the we didn’t study the map before booking.'

'Nice hotel, but parking is awfull. There a no handicap parking spots but 1 in the garage. For our second night even that one was taken so we had to park a few bloks further. The price per night is too high '

'Prima hotel. Druk bij het ontbijt dat was jammer.'

'Good location outside Manhattan. Trains to Manhattan available within walking distance.'

'The staff at Hotel 1200 were very friendly and responsive. Our room was clean (aside from a little dust and some toothpaste in the sink) and was a good size. Bed was comfy, and blackout shades worked. The TV wouldn't work, and we were told it couldn't be fixed. The room was too cold, and they were able to adjust it warmer for us. It's nice to be close to train and bus lines, and they kindly gave us a back room to limit the El train noise. The neighborhood has trash, graffiti and the like, but...

'It is a clean hotel, at some distance from Manhattan. For those from Western Europe it will be an experience to have a breakfast with only cookies and the like'

'Stayed halloween night, great value and perfect location for what we needed. We stayed in room 5 with private bathroom. Quiet, comfortable bed. Would recommend and stay again.'

'Good location for visiting new york, nice neighbourhood. Hotel is dated and breakfast is so so'

'Stayed for Halloween weekend without knowing there was going to be a MAJOR Halloween Party at the Hotel, which was a nice surprise until wewanted to get 4 hours of sleep before check out time… Be aware that rooms are not soundproof like advertised. We were on 5th floor on the other side of hotel where party was happening and could hear loud music banging at 7, 8, 9, 10am of Sunday. Telephone in the room was not working to talk to reception, neither they were responding via text messages, so I...

'TownePlace is a solid chain. Love the amount of space and comfort these rooms have to offer. This particular hotel in Brooklyn is new (so the price it probably going to quadruple in the next month). The breakfast here was also a much welcomed part of stay. Looking forward to staying here again if the situation arises! '

'We had a small bedroom with just one queensize bed. (We are quite large people so we slept bad) The next morning we asked the reception if there were any rooms with a bigger bed available. There was and we could go directly in the new room. We got the upgrade for free, so that was very pleasant! Breakfast is free, don’t expect to much from it. Very basic but ok.'
