Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available, but the staff approached me later with a spontaneous offer for a complementary breakfast. And the room location turned out to not be a problem. But our favourite part turned out to be the hotel restaurant. The lamb shank and...

'Hotel just in center of Reykjavik, comfortable proper rooms. Luxury bathroom. Lots of restaurants on walking distance (5-15 min). Good breakfast.
One disadvantage: there is no parking facility. We paid €80 each night in the nearby parking garage (advised / proposed by the hotel reception desk), that's an expensive parking.'
