'This is an amazing hotel, everything is very special. Rooms are clean and spacious and with lovely views and lots of natural light. The facilities such as the pool and the spa are fantastic. The restaurant really yummy and lovely atmosphere. The staff members are extraordinary. Our son doesn’t want to go anywhere else 😂. He keeps saying, nothing is like the HiltonYala ❤️'

'Wat een leuk en spannend hotel! Als je aan het zwembad ligt zie je de wilde buffels een paar meter verder in het water liggen, af en toe zagen we zelfs een krokodil voorbij zwemmen. Zelfs in het hotel kan je dus wilde dieren spotten. De kamers zijn zeer aangenaam en ruim. Het ontbijt was top, er was een ruime keuze van zowel de lokale als de westerse keuken. Wij zijn fan van dit hotel, zeker een aanrader !'

'We had an excellent stay! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. They helped us to arrange safari, food and transport as well. The safari was amazing and our driver was the best! Food was also amazing. '

De kaart is niet super uitgebreid maar alles wordt vers bereid en met zorg opgediend. Een goede plek om deel te nemen aan de safari in Yala National parc. '

'Absolutely beautiful property. Right on the beach with easy access. Hanuman langur monkeys were right outside the room. They were so cute! Room had poor lighting, but everything else was perfect! Hotel next door has a superb buffet- best i have ever eaten in terms of variety! Access road was bad and there was no place for our driver to stay so he had to find his own lodging.'

'The stay was amazing. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by the owners of the property who showed exceptional hospitality. The room was really nice and clean with an amazing view of the surroundings. The food was 10/10 with a selection of both local and international options. The owners helped with arranging a jeep for the safari and were ready to help with any other requests. I would highly recommend staying at the property if you’re going for the Yala Jungle Safari. '

'Hotel a 3 km de la ville, assez éloigné sans service a proximité. Safari trés cher. J'avais résérvé une chambre mais a mon arrivée il n'y en avait pas alors on m'a proposé le dortoir au meme tarif se que j'ai refusé et aprés discussion j'ai obtenu une tente-chambre. Trés bien dans la grosse savane mais prés de la grande route pas nécessaire du tout. Personnel serviable mais on sans que l'argent et le but premier du centre. '

'Incredible place to spend a few nights while we enjoyed the peace and serenity as well as two safaris. The food was the best we had during our stay in Sri Lanka and the staff was incredible as well. '

'All in all, happy to stay here, just be prepared to do a lot of extra work to check-in. The location is incorrectly indicated on Facebook, TripAdvisor & hotels.com, and is 10km north of Tissa. Easily accessed by public transit if you've got the correct address. Make sure they know you're coming, as they were unaware I had made the reservation. If you can't find their phone #, try them on Facebook, or worst case scenario, go to to their Tile & Bathroom Shop, next to Sampath Bank... Don't...

'Hi, the property was nice, but in the middle of the rice fields. They did not serve dinner, so you have to take a tuktuk to town. The room itself was large and beautiful, but the AC did not work and there was no fridge in the room.'

'First of all, when I went to 'Palugaha pilgrim resort' it was locked. Even the mobile was not reachable. I had booked this thro' Expedia. Fortunately the auto rickshaw driver was knowledgeable about the place so took us to a nearby place. This did not have any name but there was someone to entertain us. He claimed that was the Palugaha resort & also said there was no intimation from Expedia reg my booking. However, he was kind enough to arrange the room for us. After that, everything was fine....

' Absolutely amazing hotel! The rooms are clean and big. A great pool and you are very close to Yala national park. However the chef Pradeep was absolutely the highlight of our stay. The food he served was also good. Since we are not from Sri Lanka he took the time to explain what he uses, and how they look. Het also gave great recommendations. But the staff was also very nice, very helpful. Even the Peacock that resides was nice!'
