'Plenty and easy parking. When I entered the bar, I was confronted with Theakstone's on draught, real ale, which is one of my all time favourites (only temporarily available) so I knew that my stay was going to be excellent. Nice food, very friendly staff and nice breakfast. It was my first stay, but hopefully not my last. My routing when travelling in the UK varies, but I hope I can include the Forest Lodge in my future travel plans. It would be worth driving a bit extra to arrive here. '

'Booked a one night stay as meeting up with a group of friends for a night out in Newark. My (standard) room was clean, comfortable and well furnished. The bar/dining area was very cosy with local beers (Pheasantry) on draught. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay and the breakfast was superb. Excellent value for money - highly recommended!'

'A lovely stay. A beautiful building and immaculate cosy room. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was huge. A great view of the canal. Right in the centre of Newark and easy to access. Parking is allocated per room and validated via an app...building work was happening so my space wasn't signed, but the builders were really helpful. The outside was in need of a bit of a tidy up, but it is Autumn. '
