'Stayed there with family and kids. We were not expecting much from this hotel as we were only there to sleep... Sheets were stained, beds are OK if you are 4ft tall. The main problem for us was with the frontdesk staff blasting music over their phone speaker until 3:30 AM, we had to politely ask them if they could use their earphones at least 6 times but they did not seem to see the problem....anyhow if you are looking for a hotel to stay in this area the comfort inn is slightly more expensive...

After securing the property, I called the provided number to confirm my reservation, only to be met with confusion from the person on the line, who claimed to have no knowledge of Hotels.com. Despite sending my confirmation, I had to repeatedly follow up for a response, only to be informed that my originally booked unit was unavailable. They offered a supposedly 'similar' unit instead. The cozy rooms in this beautiful old building, comfy beds, peaceful surrounds, the most wonderful rooftop breakfast area, little garden and living room/reception. And, a clear low waste ethos. It has been our cocoon and a beautiful place to come ‘home’ to and relax in. Above all though, it is the staff who bring everything alive, humming and easy. 'The staff were above and beyond helpful with meals, dry cleaning, and recommendations. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious each day. The room was large, modern, clean, and facing away from the noise of the streets. The view was lovely and private. I think we had a much better stay than our travel companions who stayed at another hotel 4 minutes away. I would recommend Hotel Amigo to anyone travelling to Mumbai. Also: loveliest security officer who was always up for a chat upon our daily...

'The pool in this hotel is nothing like the pictures. It is so dirty you can not even see the bottom. It is littered with bird droppings. After having seen the pool, I am havig trouble eating at the hotel, do they take care of their kitchen the same way they take care of their pool? Apparently, the management of the hotel does not like the reviews being posted on various sites. The various signs at the restaurant 'If you think our staff is rude, please talk to the management' makes you think...
