Guadalupe River Road Retreat Huwelijksreishut

De Guadalupe River Road Retreat ligt tussen de 2e en 3e oversteek, halverwege tussen Gruene en Sattler. Deze oase aan de rivier de Guadalupe is geschikt voor gezinnen en stelletjes die willen genieten van de rivier in een rustige omgeving en ontsnappen aan de rumoerige drukte en partycabines.

Gasten in onze hutten hebben de vrijheid om door de 6 parkachtige hectares te dwalen in de schaduw van majestueuze eiken, pecannoten en cipressen. Je kunt genieten van een fantastisch uitzicht op de rivier de Guadalupe, van cabinedekken en bankschommels, een dutje doen in een hangmat, of tennis of tennis op onze nieuwe tennisbaan en natuurlijk in en op de rivier!

De rivier is toegankelijk vanuit twee gebieden, een betonnen aanlegsteiger met treden naar beneden, of via een natuurlijk pad naar beneden naar een zithoek onder de overkapping van twee enorme cipressen. Aan de overkant van de rivier ligt een unieke kalkstenen vlakte, uitgehouwen door de rivier, waar mensen vaak genieten van rondhangen, spelen in het water en kijken naar de toobers die voorbij zweven.
Als je een plek wilt waar je plezier kunt hebben, maar ook kunt ontspannen in comfort, rust en privacy, zal onze retraite niet teleurstellen!

Outstanding River Cottage

Excellent location ! Beautiful property. Love the environment and the hosts treat you like loving family members. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. THE BEST Place and Hosts

Spectacular 6 acres on a perfect stretch of river. Carlton and Laura are exceptional people - you are family from moment they meet you at the gate into their painstakingly maintained property, and they go out of their way to make your stay at their family place special. Sit in the river or in a hammock in the shade or by the firepit. And don’t miss all the fireflies at dusk! The best place imaginable by the river for a quick or a long getaway. Play with Abby the border collie, and if you’re lucky, go on a walkabout with the fancy geese. Your cabin will be spotless and even stocked with a few essentials (s’mores). Wish we could’ve stayed for a week or two. We are staying here from now on. Seriously, this place is the best and so are the owners.

Wonderful weekend

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at the Guadalupe River Road Retreat. It was our 4th time to stay at this Beautiful place. Carlton & Laura our fantastic host full of information about the area and see to it that your needs are met. The honeymoon cabin was very clean and comfortable for the 2 of us. Had everything we needed. Nice comfy bed , AC kept the cabin comfortable. BUT the views!! Our wonderful!! You are just steps away from the river! Easy access for tubing, Kayaking a rock beach area for children playing in the river. So much fun for the family. We will definitely be going back.

Location is amazing. Just a min walk from the river. Cabin was furnished with everything you could possibly need. The host even provided supplies to make s’more’s!! This is the cleanest rental we have stayed in. We will absolutely return!!

An Unexpected Hideaway off the Beaten Path

If you're looking for a quiet get away look no further. Quaint, beautiful and roomy home for 2 with full kitchen and walk-in shower. And don't forget to bring your tubes and river chairs. The calming waters of the Guadalupe await you out the back porch and a short walk down the stone steps for easy access to and a relaxing day on the river. There are also plenty of chairs to sit in just above the river bank. Enjoy your meals on the large back porch while watching the birds at the bird feeders and listening to the flow of the river below. There's plenty of room to take a walk around the beautiful tree covered property. And the wildlife come out at night! While enjoying supper on the porch we saw 2 foxes, a raccoon, and later a group of deer who come out to feed at night. Owners Laura and Carlton are also raising some ducks you can even enjoy visiting with up close. If you need anything during your stay, Laura and Carlton are just a stone's throw away on the property. If they don't have what you need or forgot, they can tell you where to get it nearby. They were great and friendly hosts. So glad we found this beautiful place.
