First, the staff here are exceptionally friendly and warm. From the young lady that helped with my rather stressing check in all the way to the doorman and other staff. However, the hotel is in dire need of updating their systems to operate with the trends of the industry. The building need many repairs and the carpets are absolutely filthy, disgustingly filthy. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms given the rest of the hotel is so dirty, but the rooms and the bathroom I had was very very clean. The furniture was pretty worn out and had some staining so I did not use the living area, but the bedroom and bathroom were top notch and felt like a different hotel. Unfortunately, I did not get much sleep as the air conditioning was full blast and it was too cold to enjoy a shower or even sleep at night. I turned the heat on 90 and it was still blowing freezing cold air. I tried to turn it off and it would not shut down and the air was continuous throughout the night. I ended up paying an Uber to take me to the gym to shower and I had to purchase a blanket in order to try to find comfort from the bone chilling cold. There is no smoking area on the property and having mobility issues it was not ideal to have to exit the property and walk down to stand on the street to smoke especially at night. The staff was the highlight of this location. The food at the restaurant is subpar and that is being nice wasted over $60 and couldn't eat it too greasy and tasted like old microwav
