Historische Mid City Home op Streetcar route

Welkom! De Okra Inn is een gerenoveerd Camelback huisje in het historische gebied Mid City op de Canal Street Car lijn. Geniet van een 10 minuten lopen naar Bayou St John en City Park (thuisbasis van New Orleans Museum of Art), en op 15 minuten straat auto rijden naar het historische New Orleans. Om de hoek van de beroemde Angelo Brocato's en vele andere restaurant opties. Blokken verwijderd van vele andere bekende restaurants in New Orleans, zoals Mandina's, Liuzza's en Katie's. Ik heb ook tal van voorkennis op het verkennen van de stad!

Het huis is geweldig voor groepen, maar ik heb buren die moeten worden gerespecteerd. Dit huis is het beste voor groepen die van plan zijn hun feesten buiten het huis te doen.

Great location. Perfect for a weekend reunion

The property is actually a duplex that's connected in the middle so you have two of everything. My friends and I came from all over to spend a nice weekend in New Orleans and this proved perfect for us. The place is a bit rustic - as shown in the pictures- but it has everything you need. As I mentioned in the title, we particularly like the location. Lots of good restaurants in the area and an easy trolley ride down to the French quarter.

UCLA v LSU Football Weekend

Property was perfect for our 6 adult friends for the weekend. Very close to great restaurants and grocery store. Trolley or Uber to all the action in minutes and then relax in this quiet historic home to sleep and relax during the morning. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a group or large family getaway!!!

Loved this property

Lindsey’s property was perfect for our large group. With 6 bedrooms and 3.5 baths it was a perfect accommodation for all of us. Beds are really comfortable and bathrooms are clean. We rented the whole house and enjoyed having access to all the space her house provided. Great location being so close to restaurants and bars and a Walgreens is a stone throw away if you need anything. Lindsey was a great host and a was willing to accommodate our check in and check out times and checked in to see if we needed anything. She also had some really wonderful suggestions on dinner and what to do in the area. Definitely check out Katie’s just 4 blocks down, best charbroiled oysters. The noise level was mild with it being closer to some bars but only if the patrons were being extremely rowdy, you couldn’t hear the noise in the rooms at the back of the house. The street car is very close and easy to use, Lindsey gave us great advice to download the app which made buying tickets easier. It’s not a very long ride and does have AC. I would definitely come back k and suggest this property to any large groups visiting NOLA!

Great Location!

The set up was just what we needed. Great location as well. Lots of restaurants to walk to. Unfortunate for us the city decided to tear up the sidewalk in front of the house and along the street. Not the fault of the owners as they have no prior warning when they will work. We made it work but it caused an inconvenience that couldn’t be helped.

Mid-City is the best location

The property was exactly as described by the owner and the commenters. It is situated in the best location to see all of your favorite sights without the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas (Bourbon Street). We were able to walk to great restaurants in the area and the local bar The Red Door which stays open just about all night. Hands down it was the best time I've had in NOLA in a long time.

Great place in a cool location.

House was perfect for a large group looking to spend most of the days out and about. Short Uber ride to Uptown, French Quarter, I would definitely recommend staying in Midcity at the Okra Inn. Lindsay had some good recommendations and was accommodating in her responses. Would definitely recommend.
