The Barby Haus was by far the cleanest, most tastefully decorated (unbelievably special antiques and touches) yet, completely modern house I've ever stayed in. Not a single guest "welcome detail" is overlooked. Impeccable!'

Communication with host was always timely and professional and was available at any time if needed. House was equipped with board games and tv for entertainment. 'When you rent a tiny one-room house in a field you don't expect perfect conditions, but you expect a place where you can sleep, and a host who responds to big problems. Unfortunately you can't count on that with this host, even though we found a bed that had partially collapsed through the floorboards. We were willing to overlook: that the dishes were so dusty we had to wash them before using, that the shower was just a strong trickle, that there were moldy spots on the walls near the ceiling...
