Hotel staat op prima locatie om Manhattan te ontdekken. Kamers gedateerd maar wel schoon met goede bedden.

Excellent family hotel. We are family of 5 and had excellent accomodation to stay in 1 room. Very friendly staff (George is super !). If you are looking for a small but superb hotel, please choose the City Club Hotel on 44th Street !

Een klein hotel met vriendelijk personeel, wel wat verouderd. De airco 4 dagen op vol gehad met veel herrie maar kreeg de kamer niet onder de 23 gr Celsius bij een maximum buitentemperatuur van 20 gr. De ramen keken uit op een blinde muur en niet op de stad zoals in de omschrijving. Geen uitzicht dus. Goede bedden en goede badkamer. De badjassen ontbraken evenals de koelkast die wel in de omschrijving staat. De minibar was er wel. De gratis fles wijn was er niet, de "waived" resortfee van 40 dollar is wel in rekening gebracht. Zeer goede ligging.

LIKED: • Very convenient LOCATION. • Good CLEANING SERVICE. • Great CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. • Helpful STAFF all around. It was a very pleasant stay. DID NOT LIKE: • Poor First Impression: The LOBBY needs to be improved. It didn’t give a good first impression at all. A more modern upgrade to match the upscale location of the property would be helpful. • Uncomfortable Second Impression: The CARPET IN THE ELEVATOR needs to be changed. It was old, filthy, and very worn out.

Terrible service, gave me a room without a desk and I had to complain .. told me it’s a 195 sft room and it’s no bigger than 125 sft. Lisa at front desk told me it’s my problem .. changed the room .. still a small room but now with a desk. It’s a petit room but nowhere on Expedia it says so.

The room was so dirty, the wall the bed and the wall lamps were all crushed. There was also a bad odor coming out of the showering room. The front desk was not professional at all. They were talking about their issues (looks like the lady had a problem and the guy was telling her he would help her find a solution lol) while we were checking in as if we were transparent there. This is not professional or respectful whatsoever.

Room booked was luxury queen, there was nothing luxurious about this room, view to walls meant blind was closed throughout, bathroom door would not close and the bathroom floor was warped and uneven. I requested a repair to the door but this did not happen. When I enquired what made this a luxury room to the concierge I was told none of the rooms look like they do on the photos he the shrugged when I said I was not happy with the room. I would not stay here again and looking at past reviews I am disappointed that this could be recommended by Expedia

This property is in a convenient location, easily walk to Central park, Times Square. The room is a good size for NYC, but they look like they are the originals from when this hotel was opened > 1903. Need some updating for sure. There is free breakfast, but it's just simple continental items. They were nice enough to hold my luggage while I toured the city (before I left NYC). I paid like $150 for the king room, I wouldn't pay more than that.

When I first arrived to the property the staff was pleasant and I liked the location of the hotel (close to Bryant park). Check in process was fast and easy. Once I got to my room I noticed a strong odor and my room was extremely small after being told by the front desk they upgraded me. They told me I booked a petite room which I didn’t see that option on Expedia but I rolled with it. I went back downstairs to change my room and the desk worker looked visibly upset that I had this problem. He told me he could change my room and charged me a $20 fee. Overall, the location was great but you get what you pay for. It wasn’t luxurious but definitely better than a motel. I would go back if I was looking for a cheap place in the area but most likely wouldn’t bring anybody to stay there with me as my boyfriend was curious as to why I chose this hotel on a block full of beautiful hotels.

Avoid at all costs! The rooms are the size of a shoebox and the bathroom is in the room. It’s dated! I probably could have dealt with it if I was by myself but I had my daughters with my for an orchestra trip at Carnegie Hall. No way! And, it wasn’t the room I reserved. The property did a great job with very limited space, and the location was great. Might be helpful to point out the hidden spaces which appear as construction fixes. The property boasted a city view, at least for the description of the room I booked. We had a view of the alley. Additionally, the room detail listed plush robes but there was nothing of the sort. Also, the clear shower curtain is very chic but as a family traveling together and sharing one bathroom, it’s useful to be able to have one child brush their teeth while one showers. With a see through curtain, there was no possibility to use the space more flexibly.
