Really enjoyed my stay. Only thing I will say is that the air conditioner is only in the bedroom, so I'd you have someone in the living area on the sofa bed it is a little warm, even with the door open in the bedroom. Other than that wveryth was wonderful.

The place was run-down, slum like and smelled strongly. The building common areas and exterior were decrepit. The 2 room apartment was disgusting. We would have left if we could have found another place to go to. Not worth the price we paid. The reviews on VRBO rating it a 10/10 are a scam.

The area is extremely accessible with tons of places to exploring walking or via public transportation. Check in/out process is painless and provided a lot of security during my stay.

Generally clean and organized. I gave 4 stars on the cleanly because not the pristine cleanliness of some other stays. For example cookware mostly scratched older Teflon pans. Floors appeared clean but may not have been recently mopped. Bedroom window air conditioner was important and very effective! Coffee maker new with some ground coffee available.I really appreciate d this as we got in too tired to go shopping. Plus tea bags sugar and powdered creamer were available.A few helpful items in bathroom medicine cabinet.

This was a new experience for us so we were unprepared for the level of noise we found the first 2 nights of our stay. It was really bad. So much so that I had to go outside at 3:30 in the morning to yell at 2 guts fighting right outside our window. This is no reflection on the owner but this was not cool. After Saturday night it quieted down and was fine. We found Brooklyn in general to be confusing but had a great time in Manhattan.

Perfect home for a quick visit

We loved this 1-bedroom apartment in the heart of Brooklyn. Street parking was free and easy and we had a great time vintage shopping and dining in between concerts. Highly recommended!

Short stay

This location worked well because it was close to our family member. There are a few places to eat that aren’t too far to get to on foot. The subway was close so that gave us easy access to other NYC locations. It was on the ground floor which was a real plus.

Nice and clean place

The place was simply amazing it was spotless and had plenty of room no fan and heat pumps hot! But overall I would definitely come back here again thank you Sarah!

The short answer is this is not the apartment listed. It is close but the kitchen has a different layout, the furniture is different, (and older) and there is no tv in the bedroom. The pull out couch does not pull out- it should but our theory is maybe it has a mattress top and then squeezed in. Two adults could not pull out. The original address given does not exist and is a 10 minute walk from the actual address. The actual location is fairly nice, safe and close to subway and good restaurants.

We paid for 4 nights and left after 2 and rented a hotel room. The original address was incorrect. The codes to get in weren’t clear and the room stunk of roach killer or that awful smell you experience in cheap hotels to kill things. There was nowhere to put anything. No dresser or shelves or closet to hang clothes. The fold up rack to set a suitcase on was broken. About 3” from the toilet is a very hot pipe. No wash cloths or hand towels. The entry to the building is filthy… the bed was nice and the neighborhood safe and “walkable”. I told the host all of this and got no reply.

Communication was excellent. The apartment was okay but it’s extremely hot and no way to control the heat. We saw a roach on the wall (yuck!), parking was horrendous, and it would have been nice to have at least some condiments and niceties like a box of tissues, washcloths and hand towels. There was a fan that we had to keep running on high to be able to sleep. Not worth the money.

Overall impression? We'll be back. Our stay was great, even though getting there was less than great. The only minor issue with it is there was no place to hang dress clothes. There were no washcloths. Other than that, it was a great stay.

The apartment was freezing when we arrived. The host did not answer our repeated emails and calls for several hours. Eventually we found out by talking to a man in the hallway that he was fixing the boiler, and heat started trickling in slowly. Unfortunately, brown water also started trickling down from the living room ceiling. Multiple leaks started and it looked like cracks were forming in the ceiling. We eventually reached the host, who told us it was likely leaking from the apartment above us and they were trying to reach the person who lived there. We did not believe it was livable and were concerned about the integrity of the ceiling, so we left and cancelled the reservation.

Weekend stay

The apartment was perfect for what we needed. We were out and about quite a bit so we did not need a big place, but there was still plenty of room for both of us. The location was great, but be prepared for noise-not the owner's fault. Between hearing conversations from people sitting on the front steps to lots of door slamming as people entered and exited their apartments in the building, it was pretty noisy even at bedtime. (It was a holiday weekend). Things did calm down though and it got pretty quiet for sleeping. I think it is just NYC and it's a crowded palace, so you hear everything that is going on. Still, it was a goods place to stay-near restaurants and about a 10 minute walk from the subway. Neighborhood is pretty and I felt very safe there. Would stay there again!
