Nice hotel on great location. We had a quite room on the east side of the building. Room was nicely arranged maybe the carpet could be cleaner. Shower was nice and hot with every day clean towels and soap. Coffee and tea was supplied every day for the machine. They kept our luggage after check out in a locked room. Reception personnel was kind and helpful.

Don't expect a new and fresh room. It's run down and does need updating. The beds however are very good and clean. The room is the biggest we've ever had in NYC, which is definitely a plus. Location is very close to the red 1-2-3 subway lines (literally around the corner) and a small walk away from Central Park. It has also been the most quiet room we've had in NYC, but the heating system in the window made very loud ticking noises during the (first) night. Uplugging it from the electric outlet did the trick and it was silent the following nights. The room was a good temperature anyway (in December), so there was no need for using the heating. What bothered us the most is the night doorman. Never have we met anyone more rude than this guy. Don't expect anything from him, no help, no greetings, no service. This guys job is just to be rude to you. Desk personnel is helpful and friendly. Rooms are made every day (to the contrary of other reviews) but be AWARE: beds are only made if there is NOTHING personal on the bed. They will not touch the bed if you have a piece of clothing or another personal item on it. Clean towels are provided daily, as is coffee and free bottles of water. A change of bed sheets is only on request.

Great location with the #2 Express Subway literally right out the door, and wonderful restaurants on Amsterdam Av. nearby. It’s clean and quiet and comfortable… nothing fancy, but who hangs around the hotel in NYC anyway? This is my third stay, it’s convent to friends and family and the price is right.

The view from my room was of a dirty alleyway with industrial bits. The lobby was half closed for construction and completely underwhelming compared to what is advertised. The entire place feels cheap and the room amenities are sub-par. Security guards question anyone walking through the lobby at night, making you feel unwelcome in your own hotel. The only advantage was the locker in my room for my belongings. Not even the location is that great, because for a 10-minute sub ride more, you could get a better overall experience.

Came here for a quick visit to celebrate my husband’s birthday in nyc. And it was conveniently close to trains to get us to downtown for dinner reservations and our play. Definitely felt safe with having keycard access after hours so no random people can enter facilities. It was a decent room on penthouse floor, big king bed nice clean bathroom, mini fridge available in room. For the price it was great. I would definitely come again!

Great location, but rather shabby and overpriced. Cleaners do a good job but the carpet is very old. No microwave even in the common area which sucked. Not eco friendly as they had plastic toiletry kits rather than gel dispensers in the bathroom. No filtered drinking water only plastic water bottles.

Staff is very accommodating. The property is in need for updating but with that would come increased room rates. So, you get what you pay for. The hotel is located in a safe area of the upper west side and one block from subway access.

Loved the Night Hotel. The room appointments are a bit older, but nonetheless comfortable with a flatscreen tv, refrigerator, comfy beds and an updated bathroom. The location of the hotel is fantastic, with plenty of dining options in the vicinity, the 96th st subway stop less than a minute from the hotel entrance, and Central Park a short 7 minute walk away. The staff were also helpful and friendly.

Property could use a bit of a renovation touch-up—lot of wear and tear around the floors, boards up over empty wall panels, etc. Also the vending and ice machines are inconvenient, with different floors for each but only found one working vending machine (5th floor) but had to go to another ice machine (7th) for ice. Also very hard most mornings to get hot water in shower even after turning fixture all the way open and waiting a couple minutes. Mostly took cold showers during the week’s stay. Otherwise it’s a great place for the location & cost. Nearby Duane Reade right at the corner for your convenience store needs, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the 96th subway station just down the block. Beds were clean & comfortable, rooms are quiet, staff very friendly.

U-Bahn mit Express-Anbindung nach Downtown Manhattan direkt ums Eck. An der Ecke gegenüber Bäckerei/Restaurant mit großer Auswahl und lsngen Öffnungszeiten. Viele Restaurants in der Umgebung. Die Zimmer sind einfach, zweckmäßig und für den Preis in New York völlig ok.

The Night Hotel was absolutely adequate. And for the lower price of the rooms, I am very satisfied with the place overall. They rooms and promised amenities were as advertised (mostly, see my complaint about the WiFi as the big exception). Housekeeping was considerate and any interactions with staff were fine. However, for all five night of my stay, one of the elevators was down. The floor plan is very confusing on finding your room. The carpet could use a good cleaning. The shower drain did not do it's job well at all. And the vending machines were stated to be on specific floors, but when I checked one, it had no buttons. The issue of vending machines is easily made up for by the hotel's location, though. On the exact same block is a little nameless shop where one can buy whatever soda they could have wanted from aachone, and then some. The location overall is fantastic. A subway exit/entrance is right around the corner, a good sandwich/food shop for all meals of the day is across the street on the corner. And almost directly across the street is a FANTASTIC taqueria restaurant (Taqueria 86). There are also other great places to eat or get what you need around. The biggest problem for me was the WiFi. I had to make this a working trip, but the WiFi was unreliable. Some devices stayed connected, some didn't. And the access point(s) kept bouncing. It made using their wifi for work impossible for me and I had to use my phone as a hotspot instead of the promised amenity.

While there was no specific incident that spoiled my experience, the quality of the hotel was awful. The carpet was stained all over the place, I found tons of hair in my bed, and the shower would never warm up. Just generally very low quality and even kind of sketchy.
