'Great stay overall. I chose this hotel because I could bring my dog. Rooms were clean, spacious,bed was super comfortable, the refrigerator in the room wasn’t very cold, but that wasn’t a big deal. Also, it was quiet, which is always a plus! Nice staff. I was slightly disappointed in the breakfast, it was just toast, bagels, yogurt, cereal, and when I went down to eat nothing had been restocked so I had to wait for plates and other food items. Not that big of a deal because we were checking out...

'Mooi gelegen hotel langs onze roadtrip aan de oostkust. We waren met drie personen en hadden een kamer met dubbele bedden geboekt. De kamer zelf was boven verwachting ruim en compleet. Wat wel tegenviel was de staat van de bank, daar zakte je half doorheen, en de vloer was plakkerig en vochtig. Mogelijk iets met de aurco of overnatig zeepgebruik bij schoonmaken. Helaas iets waar we pas achter kwamen nadat we ons hadden gesettled. Omdat we maar één nacht bleven hebben we dit door de vingers...

'The ‘old bask’ (with its spacious studios on the upper floors with the seaside view) was always a lovely place to stay, with its close proximity to piers, docks & restaurants. The now completed additions are an upgrade but now it also includes the new restaurant “mar” with a Top Chef associate running the kitchen (one had to try the grilled octopus sitting on a plantain!) This puts Morehead City into a whole new experience level, justifying the long trip'
