'I had never heard of Newton, I was in town to visit Hickory. What a sweet surprise. Not only is this home clean, comfortable, and beautiful, but the town is in a revitalization upswing. From the rocking chair front porch, you are only about 1.5 miles from incredible Peruvian food, awesome art galleries, and shops. The Newton Greenway was a great place to take a great walk in nature. 'I learned a valuable lesson in you get what you pay for. I would beg anyone to consider paying more somewhere else before resorting to staying here. Roaches, stains, and residues. I found a roach under my pillow and ended up sleeping in an armchair with a towel over it. When I brought it up to management when checking out they were upset I didn’t call in the middle of the night. I assume all rooms are similar based of other reviews'

'Very clean, good parking, well stocked kitchen (spices, utensils, cookware). Tastefully decorated, comfortable, relaxing environment. The blinds on the windows are attractive, but they don't block out the neighborhood lights. Curtains in the bedrooms would be a great addition, otherwise I recommend a sleep mask. The welcome muffins were delicious! All of the instructions were posted and straightforward. All in all a very nice place to stay.'
