We chose this hotel for its walking distance to Niagara Falls State Park—which was convenient—but unfortunately, the stay itself left much to be desired.
To start, our bathroom was in poor condition. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and didn’t spin properly, and once we finally got the roll out, we discovered it had been stuffed with trash. The toilet itself wasn’t even attached to the floor, so it banged and shifted every time we used it. The towels left white fuzz all over our skin after showers, and the air conditioning—though set to its coldest setting—never cooled the room enough to sleep comfortably.
Noise was another major issue. We were kept awake by constant door slamming and loud hallway conversations. Breakfast was no better: we went down at 9:00 a.m. and found only yogurt, cereal, and waffles—along with a massive line. It was so underwhelming that we opted to pay out-of-pocket for a real meal elsewhere.
The front desk staff was also surprisingly rude and unhelpful. When we asked about a posted sign that mentioned discounts and reservations, we were brushed off with “we don’t know anything about that.” When we called down for conditioner, the response was, “Yeah, but you have to come down here and get it.” Not exactly the hospitality we were hoping for.
A few things did go right—the beds were comfortable, and the in-room refrigerator worked well. But those small positives don’t come close to outweighing the many problems, especially considering
