'The location of this property could not be better. The neighborhood and the proximity made to stay very worthwhile. That said, the air conditioning was not working, the washer and dryers were not working, and the air hockey in the rec room was not working. Not all the windows had screens in the sliding door to the deck also had a broken screen. With temperatures up to 97°F in the day, we needed to keep as many windows and doors open at night to have a reasonable temperature and lack of screens...

'We loved this place and regretted that we were only here one night. Our room was quite small, which was fine for a night, but I would get a larger room next time The property backs up to Camp Richardson, so it was very quiet. I loved taking out a bike to ride the bike trail through the area. The owners are great, very accommodating. This place is a work of love and it shows. '

'The cabins were in very good shape, they had all the items we needed. Also, housekeeping was quick to change towels. The property has absolutely beautiful scenery; our family fished and really enjoy the pontoon rental/lake experience. I would recommend Convict Lake to anyone.'

'Right across the street from the lake with gorgeous views from the kitchen table -- we fell in love with Donner Lake! The cabin was comfortable, but rustic as you'd expect for a mountain lake cabin (eg some damage to floors, janky interior doors, kitchen table wobbly). 'We stayed at this property with our adult children during a family vacation. It was clean and comfortable, and it was great to be able to stay inside the park. A couple of things we weren’t aware of (these did not impact my rating, just FYI for others). The property is around 2000 ft higher than Yosemite Valley, which means more snow in winter/spring. We were unable to get one of our cars up the driveway during a late winter storm. It is steep and has a hole at the bottom, which made traction...

'The house was adorable and perfect for our relaxed little family of four and fur kids. We are easy going and really don’t need too much. With that said it was a rainy weekend and the walk from our vehicle to the house was extremely wet, socks, shoes, bottom of pants soaked. A nice little stepping stone walkway would be awesome.
