'Excellent location. Beautiful setting'

'We enjoyed quiet and peaceful evenings. We drove onto the beach during the daytime and spent our days there. The room was well kept and well decorated (reminded me of visiting my grandma's home in San Diego as a child--coastal/ mid century Dutch). Bedding, temperature control, shower, etc. were all great. Breakfast wasn't "wow" food like the photos show, but it was fresh cooked and we enjoyed getting to sit at the kitchen bar. The staff was friendly and helpful during our entire stay.'

'Everything about the Hoyt House is exceptional.. it is located in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of some great restaurants and shopping. The staff is attentive without being obstrusive. Lindy and David, the owners, are warm and welcoming and they are you will want to be your newest best friends.'

'Great historic hotel right on the river bank. The room was nice with a good size bathroom. The bed was a bit soft for our taste, but otherwise comfortable. There is not really a lot of shelve space, so if you're not travelling light, you might struggle to unpack. Every room has a nice terras. The pool is clean, but unheated. Breakfast is at The Mermaid Cafe, 2 door down from the hotel, and it can get very busy there later in the morning. Come early if you want a guaranteed table. Coffee and tea...
