'Horrible! Drove since 8am with dog in car. Arrived at 330pm and went to see when we could check in. Was told we were too early (336) and wouldnt even tell is if we were able to check in at 4. Literally made us wait 22 minutes plus additional 15 waiting in line to be told our 4pm reservations weren't going to be ready until 6pm. At 630pm Maggie at the front told us we may not be able to check in until about 930 or 10pm because cabins weren't ready. She was inhospitable and actually walked away...

'The Islands Resort was ok. Beautiful golf course, clean common spaces, very friendly staff. The room we stayed in was clean, but very outdated and had paint chipping off the walls. We knew the spa was closed prior to coming. We did not know that their upscale restaurant was also closed prior to coming. We ate at the bar and grill the first night, which was fine, but typical bar food. We planned on a nice dinner the following night only to find out it was closed. The bar food was too greasy for...

'This hotel is adorable, and there is so much to do! My only complaint was with the cleaning crew, who seemed to have missed our room; the complimentary water bottles were missing when we arrived, and there were a few small piles of dirt in the corners. Not to mention pine needles all over the patio.'
