'I had an amazing stay here during my five-week Oceania trip. My first night was unexpected—I needed an ambulance to the local hospital after a fall on the ferry—but the staff at Bay Vista were incredibly attentive throughout the whole ordeal. They checked on me during the ambulance visit and followed up the next day to make sure I was doing okay (four sutures along my hairline). 'Voor ons was dit voornamelijk een praktische stop, gezien de veerboot. Maar het was verrassend welkom, gezellig en schoon! Het leek meer een bungalowparkje dan een hostel. We hebben bijzonder goed geslapen! Al met al boven verwachting en een absolute aanrader. Picton zelf vonden wij een prima plaatsje met een supermarkt, pinautomaat en enkele restaurantjes en kroegjes, maar erg schokkend/ groot is het verder niet.'
