Mooie Log Home op rustige prive-meer

The Cottage is een op maat gebouwde houten huis is ontworpen voor het hele gezin. Het is gelegen op een prive-meer 350km Noord-Oosten van Toronto. Loons en bevers zal begroeten als je gaat zitten op het dok in de ochtend! Als u op zoek bent naar een rustige en vredige vakantie .... dit huisje is voor jou! Dit is mijn 4e jaar verhuur en hebben echt genoten van het delen van het huisje met iedereen.
Of je nu wilt zitten en te ontspannen, kanoën, vissen of gewoon lay-out op de kade, kun je het allemaal in het huisje. De nachtelijke hemel zijn vooral donker en sterren kijken is een favoriete ding om te doen! De Cottage is geschikt voor maximaal 6 personen met ruimte op de banken voor nog 2 extra!
Deze reservering heeft een vast annuleringsbeleid - terugbetalingen worden tot 60 dagen voorafgaand aan de incheckdatum uitgevoerd.
Een terugbetaling van 100% wordt verstrekt voor reizigers die ten minste 60 dagen voor het inchecken annuleren. Een terugbetaling van 50% wordt verstrekt voor reizigers die 30 tot 59 dagen voor het inchecken annuleren. Er worden geen terugbetalingen gedaan voor reizigers die minder dan 30 dagen voorafgaand aan de check-in annuleren. CanadaStays-boekingskosten worden terugbetaald als u binnen 48 uur na het plaatsen van uw boekingsverzoek annuleert.

A great cottage for a family getaway

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage! Gary was excellent host—friendly, responsive, and made everything easy. He is an avid astronomer and astrophotographer and we spent a wonderful evening of stargazing with him.The location is perfect, right on the lake with beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. Bon Echo Provincial Park is just a short drive away and made for a great day trip with its hiking trails and stunning cliffs. Sand Lake’s public beach nearby was a nice bonus for a relaxing swim.

Amazing weekend of memories

Gary met us at the cottage and gave us the grand tour, we had the most incredible scenic weekend away with our family and especially enjoyed the experience of Gary’s telescopes!! The surroundings were not inspiring The river was muddy The place needed some serious maintenance and was very dirty, particularly the bathroom, with black mould and rust in the bath, with some pliers instead of a knob for the faucet The outdoor furniture was dirty The balcony was not inviting, very dirty and dusty The fridge and the microwave were not recently cleaned The kitchen sink was not scrubbed The dishes drying rack had some black mould The sofas were smelly, I had to wash the covers myself, and still the smell was present. We left after 2 nights. The only redeeming thing was the host showing us his incredible telescopes and the guided tour to the dark sky reserve observatory. That was really good.

Peaceful Weekend Getaway

We had a fantastic weekend with perfect weather. We enjoyed canoeing and playing in the warm lake. At night, we had a lovely evening in front of a campfire, relishing the peace and quiet away from the city noise. Gary warmly welcomed us and provided all the necessary information about the cottage. Best Campsite Ever!

My husband and I have always canoe tripped in Algonquin or Killarney in the summer. This year we decided to rent a cabin instead. It was wonderful. There were all the comforts of home plus loons, forest and a lovely quiet lake to paddle. We enjoyed having our standard poodle join in the adventure. The cottage was perfect for us. Full of character, lovely location, a great place for us to sit out on the swing-seat and take in the quiet, the lake, colours, chipmunks and birdlife. Fantastic weekend vacation spot

Gary is very friendly and met us there to give us a run down of what we needed to know. The property was very well kept. It is a beautiful open concept log cabin with a beautiful outdoor firepit/ eating area. A nice set of carriage lights led down the path to the dock. The lake was a little shallow with a muddy bottom but still fantastic for swimming. The electric fireplace heats up the cabin very quickly. There are very friendly birds and chipmunks that eat seeds while you're there. Overall very quiet and cozy experience.

Peace & Quiet was what i wanted for this year's birthday trip. And that's what I got here at the cabin house even thought it was labor day long weekend. We had a comfortable stay with a scenic view. Gary is a great host and shared his passion with us - stars and sky. Going to dark sky preserve and seeing saturn with ring and it's moon along with earth's moon was a truly memorable experience. Things i loved at this stay - peace &quiet, privacy,cozey & comfy fully functional house with amenities, being pet friendly and waterfront site. One of my favorite stays so far and 100% recommend!

Perfect for some R&R

We spent a week at Gary's cottage, and it was AMAZING! The cottage is beautiful, large, and very clean! Lots of space for sleeping, cooking, eating! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd need to cook up a great meal. The outside is the breath taker though - wow, just wow. The hubby and I enjoyed sitting on the porch swing in the mornings, down at the dock through the day, and out by the fire in the evening. We had 4 teenagers with us, and they very much enjoyed going out on the canoes provided and chilling on the dock. Gary was an exceptional host! He took us out to the dark sky preserve. We got to see some very cool equipment and got to see the moon up close. If you have the opportunity to see this, I would 100% recommend! Gary is the dark sky wizard :). He even offered to take us out on his pontoon boat for a tour of the lake. 5/5 stars! Thanks for the amazing week Gary! We will definitely be back again.

Truly relaxing respite

If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful and relaxing place to stay, this is it! The cottage offers all the modern conveniences of home. We enjoyed every morning on the porch swing watching the birds and feeding the chipmunks and squirrels. We spent our days canoeing and floating in the quiet lake and were blessed to see and hear loons. The stars at night were phenomenal! Gary took us to the local observatories where we enjoyed both night and day star gazing. Gary could not have been a more perfect host - he was immediately responsive when we had any questions and provided us privacy for the week. Gary went over and above with his introduction to the place, the area and other features and attractions. We will absolutely stay here again!
