'Fabulous spot for a long weekend away from Auckland. The sea view from the main property is amazing, and the pool / games barn a great place for the kids to be entertained. The hosts are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the Kohinui (family) cottage - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, and heat pumps/AC in every room. 'Good and quiet surrounding, with a few cafes and bars around. There is a spa pool available to use, just book it at the reception. The check in and check out are easy. The location is good- easy access to Whakapapa Ski field and they also offer shuttle service to Tongariro with a fee. Overall, great stay.'
