'We loved our 4 days in Hurford. The place was small but comfortable and set in the most amazing beautiful garden! It was a good base to explore the area, great hiking in the Kataki range, lovely beach at Oakura. Only 20 mins from the Bowl of Brooklands where went to a concert. Highly recommend '

'We arrived just before sunset and we were greeted by a beautiful sunset. Our cabin was on absolute beach frontage so the view was unobstructed. We poured ourselves a glass of wine and sat on the deck having a relaxing evening. The kitchen area had all the necessary items to prepare a meal but all cooking had to be done in the common kitchen, just behind us. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night and the receptionist offered us a favourable discount for the second night.'

'If you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown (10 minutes to the CBD) and enjoy a lovely territorial view, this is the place to stay when visiting New Plymouth. We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our spacious room and quiet surroundings ... you might hear a cow occasionally 'mooing' but that's part of the country side ambiance of One Burgess Hill.'
