'I just returned from a 9 night stay avdchete are my observations: The hotel is very centrally located and just seconds away from the beach and the main bars and restaurants. It has good sound proofing so no disruption to sleep or rest. They have backup power generators so no disruption to air conditioning, hot water etc. There are lots of stray dogs around but they don't bother you. The area felt safe but Blue Velvet has 24 hour security for peace of mind. The restaurant staff are great...

'Good that it was an apt so u have kitchen but rooms need some updating. Great location on beach. Some English spoken by some staff but mostly like rest of Nosy Be not so if you dont speak french or English will be hard '

'Reception staff pleasant and helpful, new bungalows are beautiful, older ones cute and rustic but with very limited space and almost no closet / storage space, no air conditioning and some nights very loud from clubs down the beach. Breakfast was wonderful, other experinces in the restaurant disappointing (food okay, service poor). Cleaning in the rooms not very good - sand not swept up from the floor. Overall we had a good stay, but lots could be improved.'

'Prachtig hotel, groots, mooie tuin tussen de verschillende gebouwen. Ligt letterlijk aan de zee, strand is zo goed als privé. Eten zn cocktails zijn superlekker. Communicatie met personeel verliep wat stroever, ontbijt was niet doorgegeven, kluis blokkeerde en was 12u wachten vooraleer de reservesleutel kon gehaald worden, vertrek en info naar uitstapjes was wat vaag. 'Our stay was extremely disappointing due to serious hygiene, food safety & service issues. We felt completely at the mercy of the staff rather than cared for as guests. We repeatedly found insects in our food—ants, gnats, mosquitoes & beetle like bugs across multiple meals. I have a plethora of photo/video evidence. 'Pas d'eau, il faut se laver avec des seaux d'eau... Plusieurs jours sans wifi, quand la wifi est présente on ne capte pas dans tout l'hôtel, au début j'avais eu problème de clim on a du me changé de chambre, pas de tv dans les chambres seul 2 membres du personnels parle français si ils ne sont pas là 😅 '
