'This place is truly a hidden gem, and the staff is absolutely incredible! It should be on everyone’s list when visiting Sri Lanka. The owner is wonderful; she invited my friend and me for tea, picked us up in her SUV since our tuk-tuk couldn't make it up the hill due to an earlier accident, and welcomed us warmly despite our late check-in. 'This small and charming hotel sits high upon the hill, overlooking a nearby village and the Oliphant Tea Factory. It's a quiet location, with stunning rooms - which is a welcome change if you're staying mostly in guest houses or big resorts. 'We stayed at this delightful mountain cabin in Ella. It hangs off the mountain, faces directly west for the perfect sunset between two peaks. The view is breathtaking. The pictures do not do the tiniest bit of justice. It's a brand new cottage with 2 seperate units. One with a bedroom + loft sleeps 4 people. The other is a two bedroom. The only downside to this place is getting there.. some steel hills, big vehicles cannot go. Tuk Tuks... that struggle to get up the hill or walk. It's worth it...
