  • Welkom en dank u voor de behandeling van ons huis voor uw volgende vakantie! Onze 4 slaapkamer oceaan huis ligt op 6 huizen uit de pier. Het beschikt over 2 oceaan slaapkamers (1 K, 1 Q) w / een bovendek. De 3e slaapkamer (1Q) is gelegen op de eerste verdieping biedt privacy. De 4e slaapkamer, ook op de eerste verdieping en beschikt over 2 aparte bedden. Perfect voor kinderen! Een volledige bad op elk niveau en bamboe vloeren. De keuken is volledig uitgerust met de kwaliteit kookgerei en apparaten, koffiepot en molen om de dag te beginnen rechts, stoom pot voor het koken van lokale vis, en een blender voor het mengen van de perfecte cocktail! Dit is onze persoonlijke vakantie huis en we hebben geprobeerd om alle gemakken van thuis, zoals draadloos internet, hoge draad tellen beddengoed, flatscreen-tv, spelletjes, kinderspeelgoed en boeken bieden. Natuurlijk is de beste eigenschap van ons huis is het uitzicht, DIRECT OCEANFRONT! Geen gesjouw strandspullen heen en weer!

It’s a great house, we loved the easy beach access and two decks. Sam was very responsive when we had an issue with the fridge. The beds were really thin, so sleeping was a little uncomfortable, and it’s very bright when the sun comes up, so having curtains would be nice if you’re wanting to sleep in. Otherwise we had a great experience and would definitely recommend!

Although the property was cozy and clean, the mattresses on all the beds needed to be replaced. The air conditioning was good but very loud. My son in law noticed the air filters were very dirty and had not been replaced in a long time. It was much older than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, we had a good time because we had not done ocean front in a long time. Adequate chairs for outside. I believe the couches and chairs could use a cleaning or replacement. I will look for an newer place the next time I rent one. Thank you

Stocked with everything we needed (kitchenwares, linens, extra pillows, beach chairs etc), which was so convenient. Close to pier and great view from both decks. Would stay again!

Comfortable, relaxing beach house with easy access to the ocean. Great house for families with small children. Kitchen is well stocked. We had a wonderful vacation

Perfect Vacation

The house is amazing and perfectly located!! We went as a family of 9 and there was more than enough space. The beach access and closeness to the pier was wonderful!! We'll definitely be back!

We visited for a sistercation, party of 3! The house is very cute inside. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was in working order and clean. The location is awesome and the views from the decks are great! We loved that it’s self check in too. Hurricane Erin provided monstrous waves with hundreds of surfers putting on a great show! We found a few shark’s teeth and saw dolphins.

Nice property

This was a lovely home on the beach. Very clean, lots of seating for our crowd. We ran into a small issue with a new refrigerator that was defective, but the host compensated us for our lost food. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great location

Great location at Oak Island. Communication was good before and during the stay. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked. The binder in the kitchen provided ample information for arrival, departure, and area information.

Beach memories

We had an amazing time, and made lots of memories with family. We even got engaged on this trip on the front deck of your beach home, so it will always be special to us. You can hear the beach waves so easily from inside the home. Very peaceful.

Great little place

A bit older, no gourmet cooking, but a cute little place on the beach with a great view. Upstairs bedrooms were amazing. Slight moldy smell, but in all fairness we were there the week after a hurricane.

Lovely family place

There were a lot of great things about this property. Location, family friendly (my kids loved the toys!), nice furnishings, comfy beds, location!! Only complaint related to a bit of water damage on the walls, which I know happens being oceanfront. We’d probably still go back though- nice touches everywhere!

Great location

Pros-Plenty of room! Laid out perfect for a fun vacation. Easy access to the beach and the pier. Close to the grocery store and restaurants. Plenty of utensils and dishes for the biggest crowds. Plenty of parking space. Cons- Every door in house needs adjusting. The entrance/exit doors have to be dead-bolted or they will open on their own and daylight can be seen when secured. I understand it’s at the beach but basic maintenance is key! Screens missing on most windows. No lights working under the house even though there’s a switch. Definitely needs attention to the upstairs deck. Loose and missing boards. Overall we had a great experience.

Really nice, but roaches

The place was very nice, well furnished with basics amenities, extra toys and supplies for the beach, ample parking. We saw roaches and reached out to the contacts for the property. They didn’t respond, but an exterminator came the same day. Unfortunately, more roaches were found after the exterminator came, which put a damper on an otherwise great experience. The only other complaint would be the door knobs. They were very difficult to open and lock, especially for smaller children. The key is in a lockbox on the door, but doesn’t look like there is a way to change the combination.

October Stay Review

We had a few issues with things in the house but the owner was very prompt in responding and the issues were unexpected and not from the owner's neglect. There are some things that need addressing though. The MAIN thing is the photos of this house. I chose this place because it was very important to me to have an oceanfront view, which included the beach and shoreline, not just a view of water. The photos are completely false. The dunes are so high now that you can only see out to the water from the decks. No shoreline view. No crashing waves. No people watching. In the photos you can see the shore from the parking side of the house. Not so now. The view is completely blocked by the dunes. Updated photos are very much needed. I was so disappointed with the view. I would not have chosen this house if the photos had been accurate. The beds were not comfortable at all and some of the ceiling fans need to be replaced. Some memory foam mattress toppers would go a long way for comfort. We could not use our bedroom ceiling fan as it made a very distracting noise. Positives are the cleanliness and equipped kitchen and linens. I really hope the owner adds updated photos so someone else is not as disappointed with the view as I was.
