Serene getaway
Patty is a lovely host, and the cottage was quiet, spacious, and cozy! The high ceilings make the space airy and bright. You can tell that the cottage was put together with thoughtfulness and love in the details. I hope to be back sometime!

My sister and I loved our stay in Patty's blue cosy cottage. Lovely place with all amenities. Lovely little kitchen where we cooked several times, and a nice spot in the garden to enjoy our food. We loved walking up and down College Av. - lots of small local shops and great places to enjoy a bite. Definitely coming back! Camilla from Denmark.

Peaceful Retreat
Cottage location is serene and contains every convenience. The host is gracious and responsive, for example when there was an area outage of the internet, she sent us a text right away. In addition, the local restaurants are nearby and delish! (Especially Summer Kitchen on Collage!)

Cosy cottage
After seven years, we returned to Ms. Patty's cottage to accompany our youngest son to UC Berkeley. The place is really delightful and close to all College Avenue services and amenities. Although we no longer have "college-age children", we hope to have the opportunity to be her guests again. Thank you very much Patty.

Always a winner
We have stayed with "Miss Patty" a number of times over a number of years. We have all that we need, especially her garden at the front door of the cottage with shady places to read and a patio table on which to play cards with our grandchildren. Easy walk to College Ave. Always a winner.

The perfect family cottage for visitors!
We have family coming to visit from the east coast at least twice a year and this has been the perfect place for them when they are in town. Patty is a fantastic host and the cottage is always well kept. It’s a plus to be walking distance to our house and so many things on College Ave.

Great Location in Quiet Neighborhood
The cottage was extremely clean and exactly as shown in photos. We greatly enjoyed having a table outside for eating. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. It's walkable (12 min?) to the BART station. Patty communicates quickly with any questions. The only surprise was lack of screens when you need to open windows. The majority of homes in the neighborhood do not have screens, though, so maybe just not needed?(We live in a buggy part of the country, so was a surprise to us.) Would definitely book the cottage again!

Lovely spot!
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this peaceful, pretty spot - the location was super convenient to walk to College Ave restaurants / grocery store and shops. The gardens on this street were verdant and gorgeous. The owner couldn't be more accommodating and the cottage has everything you could possibly need - we loved it!

Charming and Comfortable Cottage!
My husband and I traveled from Florida to Berkeley so we could be present for the birth of our new grandson. We stayed at this charming, light and bright Elmwood cottage for two weeks. Patty, the owner, is wonderful and has thought of everything to make her renters feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and there are hooks and cubbies everywhere (as well as closets and shelves) for guests to use. In addition, the neighborhood is quiet, friendly and it is only a one block walk from the cottage to charming downtown Elmwood. We will definitely be back!!! ❤️

Nice clean place
Was really hot and without a/c is was pretty warm. The weather cooled off and it was better. the bathroom make up mirror was broken, along with fan and sink stopper. Other areas of house were well organized and very clean.

Perfect neighborhood.
First time in SF and Berkeley was the right decision. Gardens in the neighborhood are spectacular everywhere. So much fun to walk and observe, no noise, no stress. The place needs a deep cleaning, some chairs are just too old and far from clean. Finally, this is not a brand new cottage as stated; however, the location is great in a beautiful neighborhood.

Perfect Berkeley Cottage
We really enjoyed our stay at the Elmwood cottage. Patty was a great host - making sure we had access for our evening arrival and coming out to greet us in the morning but still giving us our privacy and space. We had our little pup and young child with us and felt totally safe walking around the neighborhood. Definitely will be back!

This two bedroom bungalow was very quaint and lovely. Being able to bring my dog was an added bonus. The patio allows for outdoor enjoyment and having a place to park was a gift in this distinguished neighborhood with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

The perfect place in an amazing location
My husband and I stayed in Patty's cottage for 17 days and loved every one of them. The cottage has everything you need and is well set up for an older couple (like us). Any slight question or problem we had, Patty was right there to solve it. She couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. And the location???? Let's just say that this must be one of the best locations in all of Berkeley. The quiet streets are lovely if you just want to take a walk and the cute little stores, restaurants and cafes on College Avenue are just a couple of blocks away. We even attended a movie at the wonderful Elmwood Cinema, just a short walk from the house. There is a quiet and lovely front garden that Patty tends to and many more wonderful qualities that make this the perfect little cottage apartment. I hope that we will be able to stay here again in the future.

Great Value in a prime Berkley location. Lots of thoughtful touches...well appointed kitchen, hooks for coats, towels, and clothes, pathway lights for safety entering the property. Spacious master bedroom, nice 2nd bedroom, lots of storage. Excellent bathroom and shower. Day bed in living room would be better served by a couch with pull out bed, the dresser in the master should be replaced, and blinds in the living room could use some deep cleaning. But all in all, an excellent property, would definitely rent again.
