'I always enjoy staying at the Stonefence. They are upgrading the pool area so that wasn't available to swim in, but the beautiful river was! I hope that opening the restaurant will work out for them (they were doing a "soft opening" during the stay). I loved my lunch out on the patio, reading my book and seeing the river.'

'This stay was a homecoming for me, since my parents had lived right on the St. Lawrence, and nearly the entirety of my late mom's family still live nearby. The area is largely agricultural, with many dairy farms and green pastures. It is a truly beautiful part of NY State and we were very much looking forward to getting back there to visit. 'Het hotel heeft betere tijden gekend en echt een update nodig. We waren iets te vroeg, er werd veel nieuwe gedaan de kamer klaar te maken dat was heel prettig. Minder qua service was het ontbijt. Dat was al zeer karig maar werd ook niet bijgevuld dus er was vrij snel zo goed als niks meer. Het lijkt erop dat de dame van de receptie ook het ontbijt niet doen. Geen handige combi. Kamer op zich ruim, bedden prima maar alles oogt oud. Wij vonden het erg zeer gehorig (veel mensen nemen honden...
