'The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! 'Our stay at Shibu Hotel was a memorable highlight of our trip. The staff were extremely helpful and provided us with boots and umbrellas after we told them we wanted to venture out into the rain to view the monkey park. Our dining experiences were equally as pleasant with the staff greeting us and explaining the menus to us in detail. The area around the hotel was quiet and peaceful as well. On top of that all, the private bath offered was the last relaxing piece of the puzzle we needed....

'The staff was friendly and nice. The van driver gave us rides to and from Snow Monkey Park and to the train station - very helpful! We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast came with the plan. We also enjoyed the inside/outside hot springs. Affordable hotel with excellent customer service!'
