Great location
This was our second stay at Green Bach, and although it's nothing flash, there have been so many improvements since our last visit in 2018. Great place to stay with plenty of room and a very sweet cat.

A Perfect Spot at Omapere
We celebrated a significant birthday with our twin daughters and other family members at the Green Bach and it was a perfect location. The bach was very well equipped and immaculately clean and tidy with everything we needed readily available and everything worked. What attracted us was the flexibility of the sleeping accommodation as we had a mixed group of adult daughters, partners etc and it worked out fine. We took our own sheets etc. Access to the beach was opposite if you liked a bit of a scramble but easier further down the road across from the fire station. The cat was welcoming and she proved to be a cuddly companion who wormed her way into our hearts. Books and jigsaws were available but beware... the jigsaw is a tough one and we think there may be some missing pieces. The covered deck is great for outdoor relaxing and the BBQ is a really efficient one. Yes, it's a little quirky but that added to the charm and if asked would we stay there again?... Definitely... good value for the money!

Must stay for large families.
Awesome views from the upstairs bedrooms. Convenient for the little ones in the mini play area. Spacious lounge dining area. The decking was bigger than expected. If you like small, the kitchen is a perfect size still capable of preparing a feast. It rained during Christmas so we hung out on the deck most of our stay. 1min walk to the beautiful beach across the road. Having wifi and the tv already set to go with Netflix is an absolute bonus on our rainy stay. My kids were so happy to meet the cat who got plenty of cuddles and treats, they named it Omapere 😆 Thankyou very much Sacha for the wonderful stay, we would definately come back for another holiday hopefully in finer weather.

Pictures are great but not realistic
It’s a run down bach! The pictures look great but unfortunately the accommodation is not! Not only the garden needs to take care of. The bathroom especially the shower is moldy. The top of the fridge was super sticky. It might be a good backpacking accommodation but not the one we expected looking at the pics. We decided not to stay there and left the place. Beside that the bbq was very dirty and looked broken. Sacha just wrote „it’s a beach bach and not a hotel“. But also a beach Bach doesn’t need to be that vintage.

I understand Petra was disappointed that I wouldn’t refund her stay. Unfortunately during peak season, for the few weeks around Christmas, we are unable to do this. Even though it’s a beach bach, we’ve had many recent favourable reviews. We hope Petra enjoys the remainder of her vacation in New Zealand.

Spacious, family friendly home
Awesome stay for our family. Kids loved the playroom with all the toys provided. Kitchen had everything you would need, spacious bedrooms & parking spaces. Lounge and dining area was great for our family of 8. Enjoyed the outdoor showers after the beach. The kids also loved to help out feeding the friendly cat. We look forward to booking again in the future!

All round amazing
Bigger than we expected, absolutely loved the stay. Nice vintage home great for families. The owner in particular was accommodating, due to un-forseen circumstance we weren't able to make it on the date we booked for until a later date. She honoured our booking and allowed us to stay. 10/10 will definitely recomend to our family and friends. Would love to book again in the future.

Quintessential kiwi Bach
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Bach had everything we needed, and was in a lovely quiet spot with lots of privacy. The only thing lacking was the WiFi and mobile network connectivity, but when you’re on holiday that’s not a bad thing!
