  • Een heerlijke locatie in het historische dorp Omena, Lavender Lane is een huis met 4 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers dat plaats biedt aan maximaal 8 personen. Het ligt direct aan de overkant van 140 'van prachtig privéstrand. De gezellige woonkamer biedt comfortabele accommodatie en ruimte om te spreiden en kijkt uit over de baai van Omena. Kabel-tv en WiFi zijn aanwezig. De keuken is zeer ruim en mooi ingericht met alle bijgewerkte apparaten, waaronder een vaatwasser. Er is ook een wasmachine en een droger. Een slaapkamer bevindt zich op het hoogste niveau en 3 slaapkamers op de bovenste verdieping; de slaapkamers bieden 1 kingsize bed, 2 queensize bedden, 1 tweeling en een uitschuifbed. Alle beddengoed en handdoeken zijn inbegrepen. Er zijn in sommige kamers ook plafondventilatoren in de slaapkamers en raam-airconditioners.

    Het prachtige strand is waar u kunt genieten van de zonovergoten dagen en 's avonds bij de open haard kunt genieten. Naast een terras aan de zijkant is er een kleine binnenplaats met een terras achter het huis dat een mooie privéplek biedt om te grillen en te ontspannen. Het huis is gelegen op loopafstand van Knot Just A Bar voor mooie en zeldzame waterkant eten; de Proeverijzaal van het schiereiland Leelanau; Tamarack Gallery (een galerij in de Midwest-première) en de buurtcorner. Lavender Lane zal iedereen zeker bekoren.

    Omena ligt halverwege Suttons Bay en Northport - beide op slechts 6 mijl afstand. Het charmante stadje Leland ligt op 18 km afstand en Sleeping Bear Dunes ligt op minder dan een uur rijden. Deze nabijgelegen kleine steden bieden winkels, kunstgalerijen, musea, een bioscoop, restaurants, brouwerijen en wijnhuizen. Leelanau Sands Casino is ongeveer 2. 5 mijl ten zuiden. Er zijn kilometers aan wandelpaden door het hele graafschap. U kunt vanaf de lente tot en met herfst genieten van de boerenmarkten in Suttons Bay, Northport en Leland. Er is zoveel te doen in Leelanau County. Deze accommodatie is te huur van zaterdag tot zaterdag tijdens de eerste zomermaanden. Sommige korte zomervakanties zijn mogelijk beschikbaar. Our group of 6 had an enjoyable stay. The extra-clean and neat landscaping of the property made all the difference. The beach front was very nice, but would have benefited from some sun protection (umbrella or cover on the lakeside platform.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lavender Lane! The house is clean, stocked with essentials and in a great location. It was a perfect house for a girl friends getaway. The management company was also great and communicated every step of the way. We needed to get a hold of them at check in and we immediately got an answer.

Lavender Lane stay

Lavender Lane was very nice. Its location worked very well for us as we wanted to be near family. Check in was easy and the staff was very helpful with an advance check-in call. The house was clean and cheerful with a lovely view of the bay. I would only suggest that the fourth bedroom would be most appropriate for small children as it is quite small with a single trundle bed.

So nice to return to an area we have known and loved for years.

The house is gorgeous and spacious -- lots of great amenities inside including washer/dryer. Private beach across the street with loungers and chairs and fire pit. Beds and bedding were very comfortable and a great surprise was the AC window units in every room keeping everything cool especially for sleep. Wi-Fi was very strong! Will 100% be back and will tell friends about Lavender Lane!

Enjoyable Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Lavender Lane. The house was very nice. The location was great. Beach and amenities at the beach (deck, chairs, fire pit) were wonderful. A few things to improve. Each bedroom should have a ceiling fan. One disappointment. Right away (on Friday morning) we reported a significant gas smell in the water heater room. The only response was that it had been checked recently and to open the window. We were VERY disappointed that no one came to fix this issue.

Beautiful Private Beach

Overall it was absolutely wonderful and we would consider returning to the same place. The only two negatives we found was 1. The bar-b-que grill was filthy. So much so that we decided not to use it at all. 2. We had a lot of " bug issues". We are seasoned campers so in general they do not bother us. we were killing up to a dozen or more roaches, stink bugs, silverfush etc. each and every day. I realize that is a challenge when.close to water. I would recommend a regular visit from a bug man furing rental season.

Reviewer Comments: The house was wonderful and suited our needs in terms of rooms, space, outdoor functionality, proximity to beach, etc. It was well-stocked—missing a few kitchen essentials (flipper utensil—I used a spatula for pancakes and a fork for burgers as well as baking sheets for the oven) but otherwise had mostly everything we needed. Driving is faster than I would like along Omena Blvd where we had to cross for the beach but we adjusted rather quickly. The neighborhood is lovely and we enjoyed several walks, runs, and scooter rides. The listing says all towels are included but the email with info (sent the day prior when it may be a bit too late for those traveling prior to arrival) stated there were no beach towels. We had to pay $30 for 2 beach towels at the country store—but that accessibility to the country store is another big bonus for forgotten items, staples, snacks, and drinks. Another suggestion is to do a bug treatment: ear wigs, ants, and some gnat type bugs were inside and the yard is pretty thick with mosquitoes. We make an annual trip along the west arm every year (10 years now) and enjoyed the beach, waterfront deck, and water here immensely. Overall we loved our stay.

The pictures of the home really don't show how nice the property is. Everything is well thought out in creating a nice space from the floors, appliances, furniture and decorations. I have stayed in many rentals and this is definitely at the top, thus the 5 rating. The rental agency on a 1 to 5 rating gets a 5++++ in my book. Initially they were quick to respond to a question. In all the years I have done VRBO's I Have never had an agent call me to see if all is okay. This agency called me twice and emailed me several times to make sure all is okay. Kudo's to them. They have set a very high bar.

Bed was wet with animal pee. Was told new bedding would be brought out next day WHAT. Ended up getting bedding in bag delivered to house by office. No follow up from management facility no apology nothing. You g girl from office helped change out bedding when she delivered it. Spider webs over kitchen table. Would not recommend till they get new management company and new cleaning crew. Location was great. House was perfect size for our family visit.
