Viewcrest Retro Country Home is de perfecte plek om te ontsnappen aan de drukte van de drukke werkwereld en het stadsleven. De ruime woonkamer biedt gasten comfort en elegantie met zijn prachtige interieur en comfortabele meubels, terwijl de gashaard langzaam maar zeker de plaats opwarmt. De grote ramen laten veel zonlicht binnen en het is onmogelijk om de adembenemende uitzichten niet te bewonderen. Het dek loopt rond de hele zuid- en oostkant van het huis, heeft een BBQ en er is een schuifdeur naar de keuken, dus veel buitenmaaltijden wachten op u!

Dit is de droom van elke outdoorliefhebber! Je wordt omringd door duizenden hectare rustige en prachtige stranden, kreken, schilderachtige paden, lagunes en zelfs de Stille Oceaan. U bevindt zich net ten zuiden van het National Redwood Park, net ten noorden van Freshwater Lagoon en op 3,2 km van het natuurreservaat Lady Bird Johnson. This property needs deep cleaning. There is a very bad dusty/moldy smell especially in bedrooms. Not possible to have a good rest there, and the smell sticks to your clothes. I doubt it is healthy to breathe this in. We had to leave after one night, we would leave on the first day but arrived too late to look for something else.We have contacted Vacasa, but were told that since we didn't wait on the property for their inspection they will not reimburse us. I am sorry I have to leave review like this, but I think it is only fair to other potential renters. I had to move and pay for another rental and it doesn't feel right.This house has obvious potential, beautiful view from the terrace. But Vacasa is not a good host and should treat clients better.

This property is indeed a hidden gem. The deck with gorgeous views was our favorite. Everything , from kitchen to entertainment was very thoughtfully organized. We will cherish our stay and would love to come back.

Very clean and well maintained. The weather was terrible while we were there, but the pellet stove was amazing & kept us cozy. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out. The boys especially loved the hot tub after wet, cooler hikes. The internet was not very good, but cell service at the house was fine. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little more secluded, but really close to the national & state parks.

The home was immaculate and the housekeeping staff do an excellent job. It felt like I was visiting a relative ( a super clean one at that) the three rooms were a great size, and the primary room was just that the primary room. I have one recommendation is that the primary room bed be changed from the current offering ( memory foam). And this is 100% my preference. For example some one else might love a memory foam mattress and write a similar review asking for memory foam. As opposed to a spring mattress or any other types of mattress. Luckily the other beds were comfortable for a good night rest. Thank you for this lovely stay.

We were so excited to stay in this home for the week while visiting Redwood National Park. The location is fantastic—while the town of Orick doesn’t have much going on, the house is conveniently close to many popular hiking trails. When we arrived, everything was clean, comfortable, and seemingly perfect. We were ready to enjoy our week!However, waking up the next morning to cockroaches covering the kitchen was a nightmare. We killed at least a couple dozen and immediately called the manager. He showed up that morning with a can of Raid, which did little to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, the infestation persisted throughout our stay. Every morning, we found more roaches and had to take extreme measures—storing food in the microwave, rewashing every dish before using it (since roaches were even inside the dishwasher), and worrying they’d get into our bags and come home with us.Despite repeatedly voicing our concerns, the only compensation we received was a refund of the cleaning fee. We were told the owner would be contacted about a further refund, but that never happened. This ongoing issue put a huge damper on our trip, and we were disappointed by the lack of action taken to ensure our comfort.Would we stay here again? Absolutely not, unless the roach problem is fully addressed.

1. Communication and instructions were clear, easy, and very much appreciated. There were lots of ideas of things to do in the area. 2. The property had everything we needed to feel right at home: beds were comfortable, kitchen so well stocked, plenty of necessities, lots of different sitting areas so it was easy to spread out, lots of ways to entertain yourself at the house.3. Perfect serene spot to explore redwoods, beaches, and southern Oregon. 4. Extra perks: hot tub soaking at the end of long hikes, stars at night are amazing, the views, a huge deck.5. Something to consider if this is the place for you and your group. This is a very small town with a population of 357. Grocery stores and places to eat are a 20 min drive. We cooked all of our meals and the kitchen had just about everything we needed. The small grocery store in town did have essentials.

There are not enough words to explain how spectacular this place is and how excited every member of our family was to just walk in the door and see where they were going to stay at. The house was so immaculately clean even though it was a very large space you could walk through it with white socks and never have dirty socks. The bathrooms had these wonderful little extra designs like folded towels that made it feel like you're at a resort . The kitchen was fully equipped and could have had eight people cooking in it at once.... there was a dining area next to it that was perfect for having not only family dinners but playing card games. and never have dirty feet

This house was perfect for us 4 single Hiking Ladies. It was a great location to visit Redwood National & State Parks. Not far to head south to Trinidad or north to Jedediah Smith SP and everything in between. House was spacious and well equipped. Large deck was wonderful for dinner and happy hour and sunsets. And remember to grab a pizza at Mo Jo's Food Truck just down the road.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was central to many trails and parks, which was the main purpose of our trip. The steep driveway was a bit intimidating when arriving after dark for the first time, but the house was worth it!

We loved the view of the trees, birds, and ocean. We appreciated the kitchen being stocked with lots of dishes and spices. We also loved the deck, the furniture, the old books, and other unique aspects of the house. The location to the Redwoods was also great!

We absolutely loved this house. It was clean, spacious and had amazing views. We especially enjoyed listening to the many different species of birds in the yard as we drank our coffee on the deck every morning. The kids got a kick out of all of the retro decor and it brought my husband and me back to our childhoods! I highly recommend this house.

The house more than met all of our expectations - the beds were VERY comfortable, kitchen was well-equipped, and the location is fantastic - just a few minutes away from several outstanding trails as well as the beach.

We stayed during our trip to Redwood NP with four kids (ranging in age from 4-9)! This was the perfect location - we were only about 10 minutes from the trailheads that we wanted to do. We all loved the retro vibe, the kids thought it was cool and had fun with all the books, games, and toys available.

The house and location were great for the Redwoods. The little town of Orick is very small and doesn't offer much (restaurants or groceries) but it also give seclusion which was very nice. And you can see the coast from the back porch of the house which was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.

Our family stayed at this property and found it as a perfect spot to explore the Redwood National and State Parks. It is within 30 minutes driving of all the important trails and 10 minutes to the beach. It is hard to find something so perfectly located. The property is very nice, with incredible views of the forest and even a glimpse of the ocean. It is equipped with all the necessary amenities. We felt just as at home. We strongly recommend this property. If we will be in the area again, we surely will try to stay there.
