The property was conveniently located for the IAAPA Expo. It was clean, the food was good, and the heated pool and lazy river were a great bonus. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at night and by the pool in the mornings. The music and atmosphere were always fun, and the gym was clean and well equipped. We also enjoyed the spa services. Although the staff was friendly, a few issues led to our lower rating. At check-in, we were told that as Diamond Honors members we would receive perks, including $30 off food each day. We were even given a card listing the discounts. However, the first restaurant told us the discount would be applied at checkout. Fast Break became our favorite spot, though service dropped after the expo ended. A waitress explained the hotel was only at 10% occupancy, some restaurants had closed, and staffing was reduced, which caused delays. This was disappointing since our rate didn’t change.
At checkout, we noticed no discounts were applied. We were then told that because we booked through Expedia, we weren’t eligible for Diamond perks,something that makes sense, but contradicts what we were told at check-in. Which was misleading and not rectified.
