Bulbs were out. I asked for more, maintenance never showed nor followed up. I took bulbs from other fixtures.
I packed light because the property has laundry. Washer didn’t work. Called maintenance again, they said no work orders ahead of me. No one showed. I also needed a clean uniform for my son’s game. Fell asleep waiting, woke at 3 because I knew I’d have to do the load by hand, which I did, in the bath tub. After wringing everything out well, added to the dryer, which was excessively noisy to the extent it kept me awake. An hour and a half later the cycle ended. Clothes were hot and not at all dry which means dryer exhaust was plugged. I removed probably a 2 gallon bucket full of lint from the exhaust system and stand pipe. I could not reach further but an certain it was still blocked. I kept running the dryer cycle an hour at a time and after removing a lot to hang up to dry on the bed, the cycle finally finished after over 4 hours.
Needless to say, this experience defined my trip as I could not get over the fact that the property management did nothing to help with something as minor as light bulbs to something major like key amenities being completely inoperative. The remainder of my stay was in hand washed clothes that I did hastily at 3am so my son could have a clean uniform.
