Decent property

The property is as advertised. The house is due for some updating and the carpet needs to replaced in all the rooms. The property needs a good cleaning including the pool area. We did have some issues with the pool heat and the management was quick to send someone out to fix it quickly. The beds were very comfortable! Overall, our stay was good.

A bit worn but just clean enough

The property was conveniently located with easy access to Disney, however there's a waste treatment plant a couple blocks away which at times had an odor outdoors. Property itself was a bit worn in spots (e.g., loose laminate on counter edge, ancient dryer with rust, etc.) but overall was adequate. Well stocked with supplies for babies (high chairs, strollers, pack-and-plays, etc.) which was a big selling point for us. Hot tub is heated by heat pump, so it takes an hour+ to get it up to "hot tub" temps (101 or so), and no control to keep it from going up beyond to what felt like 105 (too hot!) except the 1-hour timer on the hot tub heat. Unit was clean - just clean enough. Would be nice if they included liquid dish soap or any cleaners for the kitchen. Overall a good value and would stay there again.

Exactly as pictured. Pool heat wasn’t working at first but they were very responsive to email and came out to fix it that day.

Clean close to Disney

I enjoyed my stay the only issue was the check in & out I had issues with my code other than that I would definitely book this space again

House and location were great; Management was so-so

4th time to Kissimmee in 18 months. House was clean with quick access to attractions. Layout was open with 2 large master kings, 1 bunk room & 1 double room. Laundry room by the kitchen & game room in the garage. Nice private pool & hot tub. Windsor Palms has a clubhouse, game room, pool, tiki bar & sports courts. We were given 1 laundry soap, 1 dish soap packet & 1 roll of paper towels. Toilet paper & linens were plentiful and the appliances worked well. Upon arrival at 3a, went right to bed and didn't have time to check things out. Got up in the morning and saw a hose from inside the neighbor's screened patio going into our pool and was still on. The pool was close to overfilling and the water was ice cold. Jets on the hot tub also wouldn't turn on. We notified management immediately. Around lunch time that day, the pool guy was there, took care of the hose and fixed the spa jets. Pool heat is a big deal for some of these units, and many managers charge a fee for it. I asked management if they would heat the the pool briefly to bring it up to a decent temp due to the inconvenience. After several hours of no reply, I was told no, and that it was already at 88 degrees. Not sure how it got so warm in a matter of hours, unless they heated it and didn't tell us. Later that day, I noticed when using the wash machine that the cold setting was cranking out hot water, but the lines appeared to be connected correctly. I then noticed after running it again that the blue valve was hot and the red valve was cold, so the lines were not connected correctly. I told management about this as well. (All leading to an overarching issue) A maintenance guy came by when we were out the following day. He left a note saying "the washer is hooked up correctly, the spa jets work, and if you want spa heat, you need to call management and pay for it." This was the kicker, because it seemed that management's perception is this was all some ploy for free pool heat. When, in fact, the washer was not hooked up correctly, we were there when the spa jets were fixed & I never asked for free pool heat. I only asked to have the pool temp brought up for a bit due to the issue. This whole pool heat thing was made into way too big of a deal, and the note from maintenance just added insult to injury. We have a track record as 5-star guests, and were trying to be helpful and communicative. Management needs some improvement here, but the house was still nice.

Windsor Palms Resort

We enjoyed our stay at 8137 Sun Palms. The house was clean for the most part, comfortable and well stocked with towels, blankets, and kitchen materials. There were a few things that could use attention like the burners on the stove didn’t all work, the toaster kept tripping the plug breaker, there was no plug for the kitchen sink. The toilet seats could use changing and there was some mold on the en-suite shower ledge. We did not bring any of these concerns to the attention of the property manager as we were too busy visiting the Disney Parks and didn’t feel it necessary to have them addressed. We did have an issue with the lock to the garage door being broken and contacted Global and it was immediately fixed and taken care of. The house is in great proximity to the parks however we were surprised by the amount of traffic in the area. Aileen was very helpful in answering all of my questions and did a great job arranging the rental details for us.
