Originally built in 1955, this mid-century modern gem has been thoughtfully reimagined with a designer’s touch—preserving its architectural soul while layering in contemporary comfort, lush natural surroundings, and seamless indoor-outdoor living.
LAYOUT & LIVING SPACES
From the moment you walk in, the mood is effortlessly serene. Light pours through floor-to-ceiling glass sliders, and the openness invites you to breathe deeper. The airy floor plan, chef’s kitchen, and flexible gathering spaces are designed for both togetherness and quiet reflection.
The living room invites connection with its cozy gas fireplace, curated mid-century décor, an 83" flatscreen TV, and expansive sliders framing both sunrise and sunset. On either side, water features create a tranquil soundscape, carrying the feeling of a spa throughout the home.

* Poolside King Suite: Direct pool access, desk, flatscreen TV, walk-in closet, ensuite bath with European deep soaking tub (with handheld wand), bidet, retro vanity, and luxury linens.
* Palm King Suite: Direct pool access, desk, flatscreen TV, ensuite bath with tiled glass shower, luxury linens.
* Grove Queen Room: Private patio entrance to a citrus garden with mango, lime, grapefruit, kumquat, and mandarin trees. TV, closet, and private door into the shared guest bath with walk-in shower.
All bedrooms open to private outdoor spaces, allowing each guest to enjoy both connection and solitude.

At August House, easy outdoor living is seamless with two walls of sliding glass doors that dissolve the line between indoors and out, making the backyard an extension of the living room.

* Firepit Lounge: Gather for stargazing and nightcaps, with citrus- and herb-infused cocktails from the garden.

AREA
August House is nestled on a spacious corner lot in historic Deepwell. It offers both tranquility and convenience—only minutes from downtown (1.7 miles), yet tucked into one of Palm Springs’ most beloved, walkable neighborhoods. Quiet, charming, and rich with history, it’s the perfect base for relaxing days and desert adventures alike. Restaurants and coffee are just 2-3 blocks away.
YOUNG CHILDREN: The home was designed with adults in mind, featuring glass accents, a white upholstered sofa, and a fire pit at child level, so it may not be best suited for very young children. Also, like most homes in the area, the pool doesn’t have a security fence, though there’s an audible door alarm for added peace of mind. You know your family’s needs best, and we trust you’ll have a good sense of whether it would be a comfortable fit.
GOOD TO KNOW
* 7-day/6 night minimum stay.
* A security deposit will be required.
* Booking party must have prior positive reviews and be 25+years of age (Palm Springs Ordinance), be in residence during the entire stay, and is responsible for the compliance of the Vacation Rental Regulations for all occupants and guests. This person must sign the rental contract and provide a copy of a government issued ID to host.
* Palm Springs “Good Neighbor” policy for short-term rentals applies :
- Amplification of sound, including music, outdoor speakers, TV's, etc., outside of the dwelling unit is prohibited and shall not be audible at the property line.
- Anyone 18 years or older will need to sign off on the Good Neighbor Policy at check-in.
- A maximum of 6 people are allowed at the property overnight. Maximum daytime occupancy is 10.
- Maximum of 3 three cars are allowed to park at property at any time
* Pool Heating: The pool will be heated upon request with an additional service fee. It can take up to 24 hours to heat a pool and is generally not needed Mid-May - Mid-October. Spa only heating is a quotable option as well. This fee is not included in the quoted total price on booking platforms and is collected separately.

*Cancellation Policy for 30-day rentals…Due to the popularity and advance bookings of this area, we adhere strictly to cancellation terms. Agreement may be terminated by guest not less than 60 days prior notice in writing, If written notification is received 60 days prior to the arrival date, all payments received, minus a $300 cancellation fee, will be refunded.
