The Thistle Inn is a lovely, nice oasis. The room was very clean and the service was outstanding. It is a well-run family-owned business. The owners organized airport pick up, our motorbike and car rental, and quickly addressed any questions we had during our stay. Would highly recommend it!

Hi Chona - thanks for the super scored review and comments. Yes we are in a quieter part of Panglao but only 10mins by Bajaj from Alona and even closer to Doljo and Danao beach centres. The Bajaj ride is part of the holiday fun for our guests.

Beautiful rooms but no food served
Beautiful rooms and pool area! The location is away from the tourist spot so its very beautiful however please be aware that there are no food spots within walking distance and the hotel did not serve food or drinks during our time so this was a major problem for us. We would have appreciated being warned of this in advance of our stay as the listing states that there is a restaurant in house. We ended up spending lots on transport as the closest restaurant/cafe was a 10 min drive away. The hotel is near momo beach which is the most beautiful place to watch sunset, not a tourist in sight!

Hi Beatrice thanks for the feedback. We were caught out by our cook going home on emergency leave and then having to stay there to support her family, so we were left in the lurch. Our apologies that we were only able to provide breakfast/brunch and bar service while you were here. Though we offered the use of our kitchen for your special dietary needs I appreciate getting the ingredients wasn't easy since the supermarkets are not so close. The good news is we are now back to normal, our full dining service is restored and the new cook in place. Glad you enjoyed the facilities and location, hope the rest of your holiday went well.

Best location, staff, and rooms.
Frank, Chy and the rest of the staff were super accommodating and they went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. The rooms are well spaced, we have an infant and they made sure we had a cot available. They also catered for our baby’s food. Room is always clean without us even asking. They recommended places to visit, where to eat and what to do. The pool is literally outside the rooms so our little one had so much fun! We had the best time and we are extremely grateful to the owner and staff of thistle inn. We will definitely stay there again.

This property is almost 1 year old , every aspect of it is wonderful. We had a excellent time while visiting, we needed to add a couple of days to our stay after a change in plans. They handled it without any problem at all. I know we will return again in the future. The pool was crystal clear every day, grounds are well kept, amazing staff, food was excellent , pricing is extremely reasonable.

10/10 Highly Recommend! The staff were so friendly and hospitable. We felt so welcomed. The way the rooms were designed was very well thought out to ensure comfort of their guests. Would definitely come back to this place. It had such a laid back and quiet vibe but still very close to main tourist attractions.

A lovely getaway
Had a wonderful stay with family in Thistle Inn, all thanks to ate Chai and the Thistle Inn team for being so accommodating. The Inn was cosy and clean, a perfect getaway stay as it was private and quiet with only a couple of rooms, but still accessible to the best spots and activities in Bohol. We were able to enjoy and tour the beautiful Bohol due to ate Chai assisting us with contacting tours and recommending places to see, as well as airport pick up and drop off. Many thanks Thistle Inn for all your help, would definitely recommend 😊😊

Clean establishment. Far from eateries. It costs @ $6 for the trike return to go to Alona beach and restaurants. Very basic meals at this inn. However, for those who prefers to be away from the business of Panglao, Momo beach is a few minutes walking distance. The pool is also a plus. Airport pick up and drop off, a bonus. Owners/staffs attentive to clients needs.

Lovely resort.
This is a wonderful boutique resort in a quiet area not far from the airport and coast. Very spacious room with Netflix. I highly recommend renting the hotel scooter to get around. Riding in Bohol is safe and pleasant.

Nice, clean, new hotel.
This is a new hotel with only 10 rooms, in a nice quiet back road location. It's about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the local Momo beach and again about a 10 minute tuk-tuk ride or scooter ride to the vibrant and busy tourist area of Alona beach. The whole hotel including the pool and garden area, bar and breakfast area are all spotless. All the staff are very helpful and will do everything they can to ensure your stay is as perfect as it can be. Bar prices by the pool and the minibar in your room are very competitive prices (although NOT all the items in the minibar are priced up) which needs to be sorted. The food menu for lunch and evening meals are restricted but just ask the chef and they will cook exactly what you want if they have it. Lots of items are not listed on the menu so you have to guess at the prices (portion of french fries = 250 PP). The hotel offer free airport pickup and drop off which is a massive help especially when you need to be at the airport by 06.15 in the morning. They have a little scooter for hire which is new and runs perfectly at a very good price. My partner and I stayed here for 10 nights. It was almost perfect! I have to be honest, so, the only downfall (which is not the hotels fault) if you are a light sleeper, like I am, is that some nights the locals enjoy very loud karaoke and music from outside their homes which travels to your room and can go on until quite late and the early morning cockerels and the odd dog barking.

We will work on the points you made to sort the menu details but as you say the background sounds from our Philippino village location are beyond our control. Ive become immune to them but what I now notice is the chirping and whistling of the birds who have settled here even though we have extra work as they are nesting(!!!0 around the resort. Hope you got back home OK.

Most definitely would stay again!
Our stay was truly amazing. Husband and wife owners live on site, a lot of attention to detail. Staff very polite and eager to please. 10 rooms, 5 up and 5 down, in maculate shape, also very spacious and modern and very clean. Relaxing atmosphere, not located on beach, but easy access to beach n airport by taxi. Staff eager to make all arrangements for taxi, tours, rentals etc for you. Would definitely stay again, genuinely a 10 rating!

This boutique property is new, super clean, and spacious. Chy, Frank, and their team made us feel welcomed and they were there to pick us up from the airport and even help book our excursions for the day. The hotel is up to European standards with comforatble beds/bedsheets, strong wifi, and their staff Jon and Angelica always gave us 5 star service with a smile. The food at the restaurant and drinks from the bar area was amazing. The property is about 15 minutes away from the nightlife but Chy helped us book scooters for the day. In the evening we enjoyed coming back to our rooms away from touristy area of Alona Beach. We look forward to visiting again soon!
