'If you have the urge to stay in what might be a medieval castle, consider this property. It was listed on one website as a 1* facility. Confusing to find the entrance & check in. Someone from the restaurant eventually assisted us. Yellow limestone brick walls … which are fine. No elevator so not an accessible property. There is a 3 piece bathroom (some black mold) in each room, wifi, TV. & AC. There is no fridge, coffee or tea available. There is no where to put your luggage except on the floor....

'An excellent boutique hotel perfectly located for walking to the many places to visit in Mdina and Rabat. Very close to the main bus stops and restaurants. The hotel is in a grand old building, fully and tastefully modernised inside. Our room was spacious and well appointed. And spotlessly clean. 'Very good for the price and well located'

'A well-located and good value-for-money holiday let with easy parking and access to other parts of the island. The room was clean and bright, if a bit cramped because of the large penthouse patio. As 75-year olds, we struggled a bit with the 60+ steps up to the top floor. We'd visit again, but go for a room lower down to avoid the stairs and get more room space. '

'Fabulous accommodation for a short stay. This room doesn’t have windows so only suitable if you’re intending to be out and about most of the day. Really easy to follow emailed instructions on entry to the property and access to your room. Offers breakfast but I didn’t require this and there’s plenty of small convenience stores in walking distance. Would definitely use again'
