'Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the clean bathroom. Great shower with never ending hot water.The oversized mini refrigerator was great to have keep my bag of ice for 2 day as I we used it in our cooler during the day and refreshed it in the freezer when we returned. Kept food & drinks chilled. Hot coffee pot was well used for making hot coffee and tea.Room could use a few more hooks to hand clothes and towel bars. Bed was too soft. Would prefer a firmer mattress'

'Only thing I liked was AC in the room and the view. You pay so much money for a decent room and doesn't offer breakfast is crazy. 1 elevator working for over 10 story floors not the business. The worst part they charge you for a parking fee a night 45 dollars for valet parking. 15 to park it yourself outrageous. And we have to walk back and fourth in the rain from the parking lot. Housekeeping very stingy with the towels and toilet paper.'

'We liked the room and liked the location - just steps to the Farmer's Market. This is more of a note to Expedia than to the Hilo Downtown Inn. This is the second place we have rented through Expedia that didn't tell us we'd need to negotiate stairs. My wife has trouble navigating stairs. I think the property and Expedia have an ethical and perhaps legal obligation to inform potential renters about the stairs.'

'Great location on the bay. Walking distance to restaurants, and Liliʻuokalani Park. Directly on Hilo Bay. They also have laundry facilities which is a plus. The building is old but clean and comfortable. There’s no wifi in the room and no air conditioning, but that’s okay with us as there’s ceiling fan and also big fans inside the room. The view from our room makes up from the lack if AC and Wifi.'
