We returned because we love it so much and it accommodates my family and elderly mother. Love the AC in each room and lots of seating in the living, dining rooms and on the balcony. 'Expedia was the problem for the check-in process. If your travels take you to Hilo, this is the place to stay. It’s on quite possibly the most beautiful neighborhood in Hilo. Beautiful setting and great hosts. There is quite a bit of coqui frogs and it sounds like a frogpocalyose. Lol but after the first night, we slept through it. Truly awesome lodging option! Brand new rooms. So nice. 10+ AAA+'

'The house is great, has everything you need. We used it as a home base to explore the island and it could not have been more perfect. Great location, quiet neighborhood near shops and restaurants. Clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds and living space. Highly recommend!'

'Spacious accommodations and gracious host. We arrived earlier than anticipated and host allowed us to enter early. The place was tidy, and we were provided with welcome coffee and cookies. A/C was great in the bedrooms but none dedicated to Living/Dining area which was a bit warmer. It suited our needs nicely. Two drawbacks were things outside of host control - noisy birds/frogs/wildlife and the neighborhood was a bit sketch (but we did not feel unsafe). Highly recommend.'

'This house felt like coming home. The attention to detail is top notch. Appreciated the welcome basket. There's a separate parking space for you to use. House is on a side street, no issues with street noise. You will hear coqui (frogs sounding like birds) at night, which can get quite loud. Don't let that stop you from staying here though, because you won't be able to escape it anywhere in Hilo anyway and this house is really fabulous. Bonus: earplugs are provided for those that want them....

'Nice owners, pristine accommodations, very safe rural neighborhood, beautiful landscaping. We only stayed one night on our way to see friends, also visiting the big island. So we didn’t explore the area much. But it’s not far from the volcano and even closer to the hot springs and petrified forest.'
